Planes was essentially animated by their TV/DTV animation CGI studio. They had plans on par with the Tinkerbelle series for these films. They just got bumped to theatrical releases at the last moment.
With Pixar, other than Toy Story 2 (Studio mandated) and Cars 2 (threatened under Eisner)...
After a long period of speculation, seems that Brad Bird has agreed to come back for this one
About time, I say. Incredibles was one of my favorite Pixar films, and with the rise of grittier superhero based films out there, it's high time to see the further adventures of the Paar family and...
It looks like the Peanuts estate probably has a major hand in making sure this film has the right look and feel. Hopefully, they're as strict about the script.
And I really hope Peppermint Patty and Marcie are in this thing. There's this huge retro-sixties movement with the Peanuts lately...
They look like they're made of socks, actually. I give them credit for trying it as a kid's birthday party craft or something and having a selection of rarer characters like Scooter, but they're not that great.
Now those Batman and Rainbow Dash cookies look too good to eat. Why can't we get...
That animation is pretty special right there. They have a strange three way look between CGI, 2-D drawings, with a touch of stop-motion-esque. I really like that look.
I'm in the rare camp that believes that Hangover 2 was done ironically. As in the studios and fans probably begged them to make a second, and there's no logical way they could have. The characters would have to be complete idiots to fall for the same thing twice. So that's what they did...
It looks pretty much like I expected. Slightly better (in terms of design) than the Red Baron Video Game cutscenes. All while keeping true to the original design aspects. No "this is how Snoopy would look in real life" stuff like Scooby-Doo or Garfield. That's a plus.
The only question...
Okay... Highlight reel... available at ToughPigs.
For those of you who wanted to just skip to Link Hogthrob's appearance, it's the third video 11 minutes in.
Steve does brilliant with the character.
Oh, and Big Mean Carl is about 6:30 into the fourth video.
It's probably just the first series. Peabody and Sherman are no doubt for the movie (but based on retro designs). Rocky and Bullwinkle are just the other two, so I'm guessing that if these 4 do well, Boris, Natasha, Dudley, and maybe Snidely will be made as well. Curiously, the four released...
It seems that it had little or no promotion. I didn't even hear of it opening. Plus, quite honestly, there's just an over-saturation of racing/driving movies lately. I don't see why so many are complaining about the over abundance about Super Hero/Comic book movies when there were just as...
WOW! 300 really dropped in its second week
Is there any line in that movie memeworthy as "THIS! IS! SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" yet?
At the risk of being a passive aggressive Muppet fan boy here, anyone else just annoyed by the presence of Divergent? It seems like a lackluster Hunger Games...
I can't help but think about Robert Downey Jr. Only he had more talent. His addictions kept ruining his career. He got a second chance on Ally McBeal (a show that was hugely popular until the ratings slid slightly and they cancelled the hit show and replaced it with a pathetic knockoff that...
I'm glad that the characters are out there, and I hope all this promotion equals a good opening weekend, and hopefully following weekend as well (the Captain America comes out and... well...). But I'm like, QVC? And I actually have it on digital television, and I still couldn't bother watching...
While I think the Monsters University toy line was... okay at best, I would not want Muppet figures like that. I could only see a cartoony, stylized collection of like 5 characters made out of shiny hard preschool toy plastic, and selling for like almost 20 bucks.
As for Dreamworks, it's like...
3 FREAKING TIMES TODAY!
What is freaking wrong with the server that I have to keep signing in? Seriously.... and they complain about the Government Healthcare website.
So, like, there's an episode called "It's not easy being Breezies?" They referenced the old 80's Cheetos slogan. That's... special.
Main thing is...Freaking Family Guy cutscene will forever link me to "GAH! There is no &^%^$in' Drummer better than Neil Pert!"
