MTM is a special movie. TMM was a fast paced, gag filled, almost Bullwinkle level of humor Road show pic, GMC was a wacky salute to the 30's with just a touch of Airplane. But MTM has that 1980's indie quiet, realistic feel that hasn't been used in any Muppet project before or after. It's the...
It's also a random day in the middle of a work/school week. The fact it's making any money in a random day like that is something. Besides, it would only get matinee ticket prices anyway. It's almost at 34 mil now. Not terribly impressive, but closer to the budget. Noah's going to be blown...
That's why it was a huge screw you to me. The show is called "How I Met Your Mother." Not "How I Met Your Mother, but it doesn't matter since she's dead and I'm going to wind up with Robin anyway."
Rowlf would never have worked as Toto anyway.
Also the Gaga thing isn't a movie. It was a crosspromotional thing where the Muppets were added in last minute. I'd agree that it was bad if only the Liberace episode of The Muppet Show didn't exist.
My point is that it's kind of pathetic they can't air anything older from any program.
It's baffling that they think they need a preschool line up that late at night. Even if the bull about them needing television shows like that for kids that are somehow up at night... are there no on...
That's the nail on the head right there. They tried waaay too hard to shove as much drama into the thing as possible, while trying to make the entire series a red herring. The show is no stranger to red herrings, but those always have a great payoff. This one didn't. Seemed like a cheap shot...
There was some awesome alternative ending where it was a year later and they were shaken by the events in prison. Too bad they didn't film that, though.
I've noticed that people really start to hate shows (or at least characters in them) when they take them in an unfavorable direction. My...
I'll agree to that.
There are characters that try to save this movie, but not to the level of MFS salvation. While MFS is a weak film on many levels, the scenes with Johnny, Sal, Bobo, Pepe, and especially VanNeuter were priceless.
Taking the Muppets out of the equation, it's the worst...
Yep. Constantine's line is no longer an idol threat. In the same vein of Yoplait's Muppet Go-Gurt, Frigo has Muppet promotional string cheese packages. The individual pieces of cheese have different collectible wrappers featuring trivia, jokes, and the same character poser photos you usually...
Endings usually suck because they're disappointing no matter what happens. Look at the Seinfeld ending. They picked a strange way to end it. though, I'd admit it's almost anime-ish... they had everyone who ever was in the show come back. I'd say the fact they were in prison only a year was...
Nah, it's clear they have some part with him in there. We just don't know what yet, as it's still in developmental stages. Fans of the original (and Samuel himself) would be mondo cheesed off if he didn't appear.
If the defenses are "it has Scooter in it" and matter of taste "it made me laugh a little more" you have to admit something's wrong right there. It's nice that it had some old characters, I'll give it that.
MWO has no reason to exist. We had much stronger script ideas flooding Henson after...
Muppet Babies should start small, as a line of baby goods. I'd tend to think they have more momentum to do more with the Baby characters now, but if it's too much at once, it will dominate the franchise.
As for a third movie, a change of hands might be a good thing, provided they don't go for...
In all the excitement, I forgot to add, I have a connected to a Henson project autograph I got from the convention I went to the 21st.
John Stocker- voice of Bugsy Vile from Dog City. I even had him sign it "Senseless! I LOVE it!" Did the voice too. One of the best freaking days of my life.
I love seeing cartoon movies in 3-D, but it gets hard to see details sometimes. So I missed it as well. I highly suggest picking up the IDW comics as supplemental material. The last issue even leads into the opening of the film.
But yeah, I loved that movie. Not as much as Lego or MMW, but...
Okay... I try very hard not to be that guy who hates a show completely when it takes a terrible direction. I can still watch and enjoy Family Guy when every character's a complete jerk. But this is too much.
In case you're wondering, I'm talking about the How I Met Your Mother ending. A...
I admit, I initially thought I liked it, and there's a few decent segments. But after a while, it sank in and I just really thought it was dark, cynical, and it made the world where Kermit wasn't born look positively saccharine by comparison. Statler and Waldorf are supposed to be funny. In...
