Unless this is a late April Fool's Joke Then shame on comic book resources for publishing this story.
I've been saying forever that Hasbro needs to bring Jem back somehow. They already have some of their stronger franchises as films or cartoons (Transformers, G.I. Joe-even though they screwed...
I'm sooooo tempted to say "How I Met Your Mother" after that horrible ending. Best I can do is pretend it never happened and still like the series, but not be compelled to ever watch it again. Seriously... talk about unfair. I sat through all those dumb filler episodes for that? You go all...
You know what complaint about this movie is ticking me off?
The fact that it's supposedly "dark and gritty" and not some campy 1980's style version of the characters.
Face palm.
The turtles were dark and gritty and parody of dark and gritty at the same time. The original comics had few, if...
Unintentional, but I noticed Constantine's pronunciation of "Mah-ppets" is kinda the Japanese pronunciation, as they don't have a short U sound. Dunno why I felt it was worthy enough to bring up. Just wanted to point that out somehow.
There were projects that had a sliding scale of...
Well, we only saw it that one time anyway. Unless you count MCC. Scrooge was his own antagonist. But that's the original story, anyway.
It was refreshing to have one film where we had a break from the delightfully hammy villains snickering and breathing down their necks.
"Thieves aren't...
I honestly don't care how much it makes compared to other movie musicals, I only care how it fares against other Muppet Movies. At the very least, I want it to hit around as much as MTI or MCC were, adjusting for inflation. Definitely want it to surpass MFS, EIG, and that awful Buddy thing...
I hate the company Nintendo uses for Toys. They just keep releasing and re-releasing the SAME exact ones over and over. Where's a larger, action figure sized Wario vynal?
In fact, why the heck isn't Wario a product line itself?
Probably is.
They've been doing much, much better with initiatives this last season. The self regulation stuff gave us Crummy Pictures and some great Cookie Monster moments, and the Hispanic/Latino culture one had some great episodes- especially remembering Rosita was a key Hispanic character...
Which is why it baffles me when those who didn't like this movie just don't appreciate that nod and are absolutely convinced the writers don't get the characters. That and the whole bit where Rizzo called out the last movie for not having him or Robin in it.
I thought the last movie was...
Considering who owns the Muppets, you realize they refuse to let Mickey and Minnie marry... and they're MUCH older.
While the will they/won't they thing is a dead horse, I'm glad the characters are much more tender to each other now, and not fat joke/hiyah. Jim dropped that in like the second...
He was supposed to say something, but it was clearly cut for time.
Personally, I'm just glad the Electric Mayhem are in these movies for more than one scene for a minute.
Just found this
Okay, I'm hoping this is a self contained bit. We'll probably see this as an episode at the end of the season. But we already have the word of the day thing, I just hope we don't get a big, cumbersome vocabulary initiative overshadowing the season, like season 40 had with...
I honestly hope they just junk it and release them all to DVD. I like the segment, I really do. Just, when it becomes a 9 minute doorstop through the reruns that were rerun out of necessity to begin with, it drags the show down. If they made new episodes, I'd just see them spacing out 1...
The thing that makes MTM great is that it's dark without needing a villain in it (again, not counting Dabney, because unlike all the others, he was a cameo, not a big bad). There is no tangible antagonist.
Plus, it's the first Muppet Movie to introduce movie specific Muppets (the advertising...
So... any word on if next season finally does away with Abby's Flying School? Not that I didn't like the segment, but it was being rerun to death. This season didn't even feature a single new cartoon. I know the standard is, a year of reruns then it gets retired.
I'm actually cheesed that it made number one. Son of God quickly faded into the background the second it was released. I guess because Russel Crow wasn't in it.
If only they gave Russel a musical number. Then that would guarantee an audience to stay way.
Edit: Wait... Noah only made, like...
