I've noticed Muppet movie only characters rarely got merchandised. We did have Palisades wonderful (if fragile as heck) MCC figures and Polly Lobster pack in... and there's supposedly an MTI figure set that has Spa'am in it... a Walter Plush was released for the last movie, and for this one...
Somehow, I wish that Jason did a funny viral video or something telling folks to go see it even though he wasn't in it. That's a missed opportunity.
I'd venture to say these last 2 came very close, but I really think the batch we've seen since MTM haven't had the charm either. That was...
I actually liked how there were less characters shoved in there this time. Though it would have been something if Strangepork got a line in somewhere, considering Link had several scenes and lines in the film.
Count me in as one of the fans who want to see Constantine after the film. Virals or something, maybe part of the cast. At least a cameo in the next thing like Miss Poogy had. This character is waaaay too good to just be in one movie.
If you're like me and wondering where Frozone's gonna be, you're not alone... Samuel L Jackson is wondering too
Seems that he probably does have a spot, and it won't be The Incredibles without him.
I'd say that Frozone deserves his own spinoff project.
At the risk of being someone who puts this movie on the highest of pedestals, the only thing I EVER disliked in the entire movie was... well... when I was a little kid, that musical rain barrel scared me. Maybe because it was all the sudden... and very loud.
Any other movie I could pin point...
If not, I really think Tyler Bunch would be a very close recast. He's prone to playing loud, bombastic characters, and I could imagine him doing a rough approximation of that voice.
Now that the movie's over, I hope there's some other project somewhere they can get on. I'd LOVE to see a...
I wish American Dad got something besides the now impossible to find bendies set.
Also wish that there was something besides the Happy Meal toys for Peabody and Sherman. Nice that there are Funko Pops and all, but when Bullwinkle had a movie, they had all these bendy sets. Maybe because that...
I thought the estimate was supposed to be 10.
Yeah, it doesn't so much seem bad, since this month is one of too many movies, not enough interest. I REALLY hope Peabody and Sherman is considered a success at least...it would suck for BOTH them and the Muppets to be considered failures...
There's so little to like in that film. Scooter's in it, the Electric Mayhem have a number (where they say the same thing over and over)... that's the only thing really good about it.
Considering some members are forcing it down my throat, I may give KSY a chance, but I'd still rather look for...
I've watched several episodes of it, and the only one I really liked was the last one.
Somehow, it seems like a recursive Spongebob wanna be. If they had stronger writers, the show would have been much better. Yeah, that whole Lazlo/Squirrel Boy/Gym Partner era was a wash. You almost can't...
I've seen at least 3 episodes of it, and it's all jokes about Monkey Butts. It was a very stupid show. And not even divine stupid like Cow and Chicken and Uncle Grandpa that revels in its own stupidity making it brilliantly nonsensical. It was just juvenile and dumb.
To be honest, I don't think that even in the 70's it would have lasted that long on network TV. I don't want to repeat the whole "Muppets don't work on network TV unless they're a cartoon about baby versions of themselves," thing again, but that's a sad truth. Not even in the 70's.
But I...
The problem is that even when a creator signs on to another show, that doesn't mean the same talent is a given. He had most of the same voice actors, sure (no Charlie Adler, though), but without the same writers, it couldn't possibly be as funny. Those writers have since been on and left...
Sigh....
This just started this week, and surprise surprise, I'm right. King of the Hill's the 8PM slot. All it does is give The Cleveland Show an hour.
The keyword is the 70's. The Muppets were able to get away with a vaudeville show because Variety shows were all the rage back then. Plus, it also (and I can't stress this enough) took advantage of being syndicated. The 2 pilots were never picked up by ABC.
Personally, I almost wish we got a...
It would be great if the revised BO numbers came in and it made a little more (like 11.5-12 or so).
Anyway...
The best episodes of MT, as I've been saying, were ones that barely took place in the show. Too bad there was like 4 of them and they were all second season. The one banished to...
