I think a prequel of the Dark Crystal would be the best idea. I felt the end tied everything up so I wouldn't want to muck that up.
The stars of Labyrinth are the creatures and the music. Jennifer Connelly is not important. She was good, but not crucial. I would love to see Bowie back, but I...
Hey, I love Pepe! I totally disagree there. That's what makes this interesting I suppose. I also like Miss Piggy's 80s look better than the present one (except for the terrible perm stage).
That would have to be my least favorite Muppet - Permed Piggy. Just looked clownish. Ever since then...
Love the Christopher Walken idea. Wow!
But I do take issue with the idea that Labyrinth left no room for a sequel. Different teenager, different Goblin King (or Queen - Cyndi Lauper would be my choice :) See Labyrinth2 thread.) and there you have it. There was much to that world to explore...
Maybe we should be checking other films too. If this could happen with a Zemekis/Spielberg pic, it could happen to any film.
Thanx for spotting this and telling us, Scott. I was going to get it with my Christmas money. I owe ya one! :)
I got mine. I love 'em, love 'em, love 'em. Overall good representation - on the cuddly side. Didn't expect that. The hat can easily be removed by cutting 3 thin threads (but I would never do that) and the outfit unzips too. Okay. I am too about disrobing poor Kermit, but I thought it was worth...
Rowlf rocks. They nailed him. I must admit that it appears superior to Palisades' series three figure. Some have complained that there isn't enough paint on the fur, but I understand that they were going for the look of depth. Definite A++ One of the best Muppet products ever.
Now the rant...
Ick. What happened to the Weta Fozzie sculpt. Terrible, just terrible. It's a different pic on this site than on Sideshow, but I hope these aren't the new versions. Just got my series one busts and I am a little disappointed with them. Rowlf rocks, though!
I received a message that it had been shipped the Thursday (December 19th) before I left San Francisco for the holidays. I had it sent to this address in Houston (where I am right now) and there has been no sign of it. Okay, it's been 5 days and with the Christmas rush it could take longer. I...
Actually, I don't hate him either. I disagree with many of his decisions, but have we forgotten that he had a major hand in lifting the company out of its troubles in the early 80s? He's already hit his prime. Maybe it's time for some new blood that won't green light sure-fire cheap ideas like...
LOL! I don't think the Muppets have anything to do with EMTV's shady dealings. They are not a factor IMHO. I just object to any such company involved in such swindling to be associated with the Muppets. Wish we could just "Snoop" them. ;) I realize it's only a couple people who were guilty of...
Well, it's a fact that EMTV cooked the books, lied about it and hid them from their investors if you go by every article from the Associated Press etc. Now, about internal dealings with Henson - we don't really know any official info, but we know that they are pretty shady. (Thinks of the Nazi...
Tahee hee. I actually voted (not that it matters) for Moulin Scrooge. Heck, I'm a member of this forum too and that was my personal fave because of how it worked out. Collecting all of the very current photos (from Phil), cleaning them up and pulling it off with such little time. My other fave...
Longterm: I don't like it
Sure, the Fox deal and Palisades' figures are safe for now, but the long term issue of having two Swedish Chef's in the kitchen may prove to be a problem. I see power struggles etc and the frog getting caught in the middle.
And, about the EMTV press release - since...
Merry Christmas!
Just checking the results. Taking a break from the family. Hope everyone's having a wonderful holiday. I see many people have voted since I logged on three days ago. It's intesting to see what you guys like the most. I think a couple of the menus split the votes, but I am...
You have just described all company and theme park practices throught the country and in others. Disney's no saint, but they are no minority in such corporate dealings. And then the report got downright goofy toward the end (pun intended).
Series Three falls in the winter quarter. That starts in January. The Series Two fall quarter figures hit a snag with the port strike and they sometimes take time making it into the stores. They were supposed to be shelved in early November, but were a month late. The target shelf date for...
