    Good bye Disney!! (sad)

I have to agree with JamieDenny. I was so upset with how Disney treated the Henson family after Jim's death. Tacky doesn't begin to describe it. But a Disney buy-out it what Jim wanted and I ultimately think it would be the right choice. I just hope they aren't cramped creatively.

    Dioramas

My Muppet Diorama I have my Muppets set up inside the Colorforms Muppet Theater from the 80s. It's the perfect size and a good theater set until we get the real thing. The set comes in two layers so it's easy to create a stand between the background and the curtain frame for the cast to stand...

    Muppet commercial?

What plot does a twenty second copy machine commercial need to have? I thought it was a perfect ad. Short, sweet and to the point with wonderful characters! Who could really ask for more? ;)

    EB Gonzo review

As always - a great review. I like this version too. I wish we could remove his helmet, but that's about all I would add. I know it would have meant his missing hair tuft would be exposed, but I think they could have worked around that. Just a picky point though. I liked the solid cape...

Series 2 Arrives: When and Where

I finally got them all! They are all so wonderful and I am looking forward to Series Three! Less than two months away! I'd also like to add that the Toys R Us in Charlottesville, Virginia had all of the figures, but I didn't see any Animal playsets. I was glad to see them all there. They had...

What was your first muppet experience?

My first Muppet experience was the Muppet Show, I think. I had much more of an attachment to it than Sesame Street. It was just smarter writing with a bigger budget. I enjoyed both shows. My first experience I actually remeber clearly was seeing the Muppet Movie in the theaters when I was 5...

    Financing Issues Frustrate Henson-Valentine Deal

See, I think the only difference in the Muppets under such an agreement would be the omition of the topless nightclub reference, Pepe's cleavage gazing and that they would add more songs and gleeful stuff. That I wouldn't mind. Anymore "family" than that then they are going back to MT which...

    Toyfare exclusive Fozzie

Online only. There is no Wizard World store, but they do have conventions. Their next should be this summer I think. I wouldn't wait until then. For a different paint job version of the Vacation Fozzie you could check out Suncoast/Sam Goody/Musicland stores and they will have it in stock. The...

Should I Watch "Kermit's Swamp Years?"

Quinn Here's my thinking on KSY. Yes, watch it, but don't expect much. You could clean the house, balance your checkbook and do your taxes during the movie and you wouldn't miss much, but there are some fan jewels in there. And the performances (by everyone but that darn dog) are top notch! The...

Important: The New Muppet TV Movie Ideas

Yeah. I agree with the other stuff. However, I would object to the removal of armrods in the classic films like The Muppet Movie and Great Muppet Caper. I would never want Henson to follow that tacky trend of Lucas and Spielberg to alter an already classic film to suit a modern audience. If...

The sad state of Muppet Movies since Jim Henson's death

Janice's hair Janice's current hair style made it's debut in 1984's Muppets Take Manhattan. It reflected the 80s sense of style and she's been trapped with the retro do ever since. I don't see many women (over the age of seven years old) sporting such a style which turns it into a hair-don't. I...

Important: The New Muppet TV Movie Ideas

I like the erasing of the arm rods. Come on, that's really picky. I don't think today's audiences really accept visible arm rods in a big budget production. And others won't even notice that they are gone. I don't get that. Just seems like a strange request. To follow that logic - why have any...

The sad state of Muppet Movies since Jim Henson's death

I think Joan Cusack did a good job too. She didn't really talk down to them. She was just manic. I cracked up everytime she was on screen. Very funny. I don't think she gets much credit for her performance in the special. I think Cory hit the nail on the head about ingredients of a...

    Long, beautiful HAIR

I think they should all have spikey hair. :D Naaaah. I like that the puppeteers are hippies. However, I'll have to agree that most guys don't look that great with long hair. I, myself, can't think with too much hair in my face. That's why it's always pointing up!

    "Very Merry" Hallmark ending

Sid Apple probably threw in a few free monitors. They seem to need the advertising and I hope it helps them along a little. ;) Just had to say it.

What size are the busts? (heh-heh.....)

The busts are rather small. I didn't expect that. The actual Muppet portion - of Beaker - is about as tall as the Fozzie figure. The rest are about as tall as Palisade's Kermit figure. Of course it's wider because it's mainly just the head of the characters. ;) [Correction was made to be...

The sad state of Muppet Movies since Jim Henson's death

I agree with Quinn. The songs and writing in Muppet movies is what makes them special. I didn't like Muppets From Space. I was embarrassed to be in the theater. I try to look at it as the characters going through growing pains. I hope I never see that low caliber sort of attempt from them...
