Wait, Katy Perry is married to Russel Brand? Given he's been one of the main stars of Segal/Stoller's movies the last few years...I wonder if that means we'd get a Katy Perry cameo in the new Muppet movie? Oh how ironic that'd be.
Im with you all the way. I literally can't find any section of...
Unlike Gonzo, it seems Sal and VanNeuter could find a voice/new performer easily. I mean, my mind can't even make a distinction between Eric Jaccobson and Frank Oz..so Im sure they could find someone to play Sal and Phil VanNeuter.
Btw, they got rid of the Furry Arms Hotel in Sesame Street...
Just for the heck of it, I was thinking of visiting New York City this coming December. Never really been before and I realize I've just have always had a strong love of the place(be it some of my favorite movies, cultural stuff, music/bands, etc)
I know sadly the Muppet Workshop is no more...
I finally got around to downloading all the MT episodes and the alternate international versions...and yeah, you're right about the hit or miss quality. Some episodes I didn't even bother putting to dvdr as they just seem that bad. Though I do really like the Sandra Bullock episode. And yeah...
Well while sadly the Muppet brand is nowhere near as popular as it should be in America(sadly namebrand recognition with kids, even Kermit, seems very low compared to Barney) there's no doubt the worldwide impact of Jim Henson's legacy after 55 magical years of the Muppets. And while I am sad...
There have been a FEW DTV "cheapquels" I did enjoy, chiefly:
Aladdin 3, Kronk's New Groove, Tarzan 2, and the two Lion King ones.
Though I found it odd how some of these "sequels" were merely 3 episodes of a tv show bookenended with new animation(they did this with most the Pooh sequels...
I think it was just the JHC still kind of in an awkward footing, trying to experiment with formats. There's really only been three official Muppet Show series; the 76-80 original, the very short lived "Muppet Television" in 1989 as part of the Jim Henson Hour(not to be confused with the horrific...
Excellent. I can imagine there will be a number of very cool little cameos. My concern is just that there's no parodies as there seems to always be in Muppet films/specials of the last decade or so.
Well with the Bryant case, it was well beyond established that Kobe's only crime was infidelity and cheating on his wife. The woman in question had concocted a scheme with her boyfriend the whole scheme, which was pretty much exhaustively proven. Not that celebs don't do such bad things...
I just saw Get Him To The Greek, so I definitely can only imagine what kind of inventive writing and delivery the Stoller/Segal team will have. As long as it has smart writing, is both timely and classic(maybe Scooter is updating his facebook/twitter/youtube in one scene?) and has that music and...
You know, how come noone complained when the US military was using the Sesame Street theme song used in torture sessions in Iraq?

Talk about Joe Raposo rolling in his grave.
I think perhaps I was a bit soured from having to endure it in "3d", as I've realized 3D can be a handicap toward enjoying a film. I think as well, the 2d backgrounds through me off(I actually prefer 2d animation, but a mix of both can be a bit off...tho I really was looking to Disney's 2d/3d...
Wait, Madagascar was suppose to look like that? I just assumed they were on a fixed budget, hence the blocky late 90's look.
I saw Monsters vs Aliens on blu ray, and that has to be one of the most amazing cgi features I've seen. But I love the chemistry and fun of Madagascar.
Oh I'm with...
Anyone remember how the Republicans in Washington tried to get rid of Sesame Street and public broadcasting?
I'd refuse to work with Elmo, for me it's allll about Telly, Murrah, Ovejita, Hoots, and heck I even like Abby for all practical purposes
why? Forget that, censorship through altering...
So let me get this straight...pro war propaganda Sesame specials where Elmo and Rosita's dad get wounded blowing up people=ok.
Katy Perry=bad. Hmmm, yeah...ok
I agree...IF the dress was too revealing or if the song was filled with inappropriate inunendos. Maybe I'd have to hear the original...
Seriously, what is this the Muslim Arab world where women have to be covered up? I saw the outfit, nothing inappropriate...and usually I have a keen eye and ear for things that seem out of place for it's target demographic.
But times change, this isn't the 80's. Remember the way women dressed...
I found the animation of Madagascar 1 and 2(especially compared to the Wild) to be of very 1998 sub par quality. I thought it has a lot of whiz bang pop and personality that the Wild lacked. Heck I even liked Antz more than A Bug's Life
I usually do not like the look or feel of Dreamworks...
Yeah but I say who cares about this stuff. Who cares about Hannah/Jonas, kiddy stuff, etc. All I care about Disney wise is the Muppets, Pixar, Tron and a few other things. I used to be a big Pooh fan, but not much anymore(tho I always relish the advent of old school Pooh movies that get made...
