Oh there's no doubting the 2002-2005 Palisades line was an unbelievably amazing benchmark for the collector market. But make no mistake, those were for the collector market. The Mcfarlane level of size and minute detail, like NECA, is more for a specialized collector market.
I mean, in the...
I just downloaded all 7 seven seasons, I'll have to check it out(oh thank you wiki muppet guide!)
Maybe Im conflating MB Janice with "late 80's/early 90's teenage Muppets" books. Remember those? There was even going to be a "Muppet High" cartoon.
Over the years we've seen everyone from Alice Cooper, Weezer, Elton John and REM work with the Muppets/Sesame/etc gang.
I was wondering what are some bands and artists you personally could see appearing on a new Muppet show or working with them? Bands I feel have that irreverent fun spirit...
There was a baby Janice? I just recall Janice the teenaged babysitter. (yet another reason why MB is far from canon)
I know Muppet fans have this big aversion to introducing new characters, citing Muppets Tonight as an example...or how in the 1989 show Muppet Television(JHH) the classic...
ALL of the Disney action figures released exclusively in parks, from
the Star Wars Disney action figure two packs, to the Indiana Jones figure line(several years before the new line hit stores) have all been in the 3 1/2 - 4" scale. Given they'll be going the two pack route, and keeping the...
Ack, the above post was made without realizing this was a thread about these figures:)
A very big plus
I say thank goodness they arent going to be giant Palisades sized. $12 per figure, or $10 for a 2 pack...hmm:)
Also, what do you mean scalpers? I got the Star Wars Muppets pvc set mint in...
New Muppet Action Figure Line Coming!
Yes, that's right posable action figures, NOT merely pvc figurines! ^^ Based on the Star Wars Muppets concept, these will actually be jointed and come with packins and accessories.
This is a bit of old news from April, but I just discovered the newsbit...
It's definitely a relief to know this *is* happening, and not merely relegated to development heck. It's definitely been quite a long wait...heck for some of us we've been waiting for the heralded return of the Muppets for 12 years on this very forum.
I think the big concern for all of us is...
Ha, I can so see that! ;) Yeah I definitely envision, especially after reading the comic issues, of Skeeter having a bit of Red in her. That fun, spunky, happy go lucky eclectic mix. I love the warmth of Fozzie, Kermit and Gonzo, the mispronouncing suave charm of Pepe, the wisecracking of Rizzo...
I see what you're saying, but it wouldn't be reconning or anything. While I do not in any way shape or form consider Muppet Babies canon or related to The Muppets as we know them...I think Skeeter is just too perfect for modern Muppetdom. There NEEDS to be a new strong female presence.
Now...
Oh are they more like webisodes, or bumpers/interstitials? I thought maybe it was a whole show. I've seen some of the song videos posted on Henson's youtube site and thought it had its charm. Im surprised they never made whole episodes though...sometimes this shorter format works, like with Mopatop.
2 dics? Will this contain all the stuff from "NBC's Outtakes 2"?
As much as I like widescreen, if its the exact release of the 2003 dvd version I can't see myself buying this. Though it is nice to see Disney releasing some stuff; Lions Gate however has them beat in every way with all the...
There can be no doubt to the unbelievable kindness, warmth and heart expressed by Fozzie Bear over the decades; as well as Kermit, Gonzo, etc. However, while modern Sesame Street has a strong female presence(both muppet and human), The Muppet Show and all subsequent incarnations seemed to lack...
Was going to purchase the two Jim Henson Hour specials on dvd from Amazon(Dog City and Song of the Cloud Forest) but noticed Henson Company had released "Pajanimals" on dvd. Is this any good? I've only seen one of the segments. Was wondering if it had any of the magic or charm of say, Bear in...
Well I know I have a massive archive of Muppet/Henson/Sesame/etc related specials, clips, etc dating from 1955 to the latest muppets.com, youtube exclusives and tv interviews.
Got every single thing under the Henson Alternative umbrella,
got all the D23 Muppet stuff, Muppet Family Christmas...
Being a Muppet fan is *all* about waiting. If I were to have come from the future and said to you all right here on Muppet Central in 1998, that you all will have to wait til the year twenty eleven to get that "Muppet rennaissance", that big Muppet Comeback...people would think I was nuts or be...
Im telling ya do, go and seek out at least a few episodes if you never really watched it(I know it took me ages for me to finally get ya to see the magic of Fraggle Rock!) :p
I got all of the official Bear dvds, vhs and exclusive mail away vhs and dvds(cereal box, disney store membership...
Oh trippy! No worries, I recently digitally copied a pretty good copy of the special I didnt even realize I had on vhs. Im such a sucker for anything late 80's! I wonder if there's a list of all worldwide official dvd releases of non North American NTSC Muppet stuff.
