The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

And now it's getting a sequel in 2 years. It debuted at #3 and has just barely made back its budget, and they're calling it a success? http://variety.com/2014/film/news/nut-job-2-set-for-jan-15-2016-1201068101/

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Happens all the time with Japanese speakers. They don't have a V sound, so they resort to using B sounds. Same goes for the L sound.

    Little Muppet Monsters Revelation...

Freelance Animators New Zealand would have to be even worse than AKOM or even Kennedy. I never liked their overly squishy look and the way they drew the Warners (especially their eyes) compared to the other outsourcing studios who worked on Animaniacs. I mean, look at the way Dot gains a ghetto...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

BTW, The Lego Movie isn't really stop motion; it's CGI, but designed to look like it. I'm still impressed by it either way.

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

As long as it isn't being used to further any agendas, then it's just stupid, but harmless fun.

That Powerpuff Girls CGI special finally airs...

...and I found it all right. It's easy to tell that Craig McCracken had zero input in this, as he was busy with Wander Over Yonder when it was being made. It's much faster-paced and feels like self-parody at times. The Ringo Starr-voiced Fibonacci Sequins could have had a bigger role, as well...

    HEH! Work It's been Canceled!

Ferris Bueller's Day Off was also given a sitcom, but that failed both critically and commercially. On the other hand, the similar Parker Lewis Can't Lose was a much bigger success, and is said to be much truer to the spirit of Ferris Bueller. Also, I really enjoyed the Honey, I Shrunk the...

    HEH! Work It's been Canceled!

I found out that they're actually was a Bad News Bears TV series that ran for 26 episodes around the time the movie was relevant. Whatever made Back in the Game fail probably didn't work for that, either. Other than the screwy timeslot, of course...

It's also a South Korean co-production, which explains why Gangnam Style is used in it and why Psy makes a cameo in the end. Too bad it's almost 2 years too late.

    Oscars 2014

This is the place to discuss the 86th Annual Academy Awards, which are coming on March 2 of this year, and will be hosted by Ellen DeGeneres. Here are the nominees, for those who would like to know. I feel like Gravity would take home Best Visual Effects, seeing as how they're supposed to feel...

    HEH! Work It's been Canceled!

I think just about everyone has forgotten about According to Jim and other ABC sitcoms from the early '00s. Also, I remember and enjoyed Caroline in the City.
