It was great seeing the latest episode. I love how Garnet is more hands-off with rearing Steven as opposed to Pearl's over-protectiveness; that is, letting him figure things out on his own.
I also see newspapers and magazines becoming more of a print-on-demand thing, kind of like how phone books in some areas are only delivered to people upon request.
I keep getting assaulted by this Verizon ad with this irritating singer about how he guy always wanting more stuff and wailing "I want it, I want it, I want it RITE NAO!!11!1!!" at the end.
It's past Christmas! Go away already! :boo:
Remember when television was expected to take over films back in the '50s? I don't see the Internet completely taking over TV anytime soon, but I do see more of an incorporation of the Internet into TV, like with Samsung and their Smart TVs.
There's something about Isao Tomita's cover of "The Planets" suite by Gustav Holst that I like a whole lot more. Maybe it's the entirely synthesized, but still very organic-sounding sound that gives off that space opera vibe to it. :D
Funny thing is, it wasn't supposed to be a kids' movie at first. Some language is even bowdlerized in the final cut, but not all of it.
Mel Brooks really was the best with combining both raunchy and witty humor.
Then on the other end of the spectrum we have folks like Happy Madison...
A Million Ways to Die in the West, as this movie is called, sounds really good. Ted turned out to be a lot better and more genuinely heartfelt than I thought it would, and this seems no different. Doesn't hurt that Neil Patrick Harris and Sarah Silverman are in it, either. :D...
He was a great foil and father figure to Will in Fresh Prince, not to mention a great Shredder.
That episode in which Uncle Phil suffers a heart attack is going to be really awkward to watch now. :(
Mad Max 2 was also a lot better than the first. Not only did it better explain why Australia fell into ruins the way it did, the editing felt a lot less haphazard, making things easier to follow.
Ugh, I hate that commercial! It's just like that Buick commercial where everyone in the neighborhood received a big expensive car for Xmas until a Buick drives by, and their expressions go from ecstatic to disappointed. How is that supposed to be amusing?
The Toy Story sequels not only upped the visual scope of the first, but took the concept of inanimate objects coming to life much deeper as well.
I also like the more tongue-in-cheek tone of Expendables 2. It fits the big dumb action movie throwback feeling better.
