Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

I'd like for Summerween do become a thing nationwide. :)

Now what's going on with YouTube?

Twitch.TV's recent sale sure was interesting. Google offered more money, but they ultimately made the deal with Amazon instead for less. Kudos to Twitch for allowing a corporation that's not Google to buy them. :D Of course, you don't have to take my word for it. This guy says it better than I...

    Before I Forget...

I don't see Timmy's working out very well in Japan, either, due to Mister Donut and their pon de rings dominating the market there.

    Before I Forget...

I don't know where else to put this without starting a new thread, but there's been news that Burger King is planning to merge with Tim Hortons, which would possibly allow the latter to rapidly expand into the U.S. and abroad. Good news for us, I guess; probably not so much for Canucks...

    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Thread

Thanks to the Nostalgia Critic, I never knew that the first movie was independently made. You would think that any of the major studios would jump at the chance to produce it, but apparently not.

    The Steven Universe thread

Pearl clearly kept Amethyst's impulsiveness in check when she fused with her to make Opal, and I'm sure she'll do the same for Garnet with the next transformation.

    The Steven Universe thread

Nicki Minaj wasn't too bad voicing Sugilite, the monstrous fusion of Amethyst and Garnet. And I loved Pearl and Steven's musical number, which really demonstrates Deedee Magno's singing abilities. :)

The Saddest thing that reminds you that you're old...

At least those girly cartoons were something that kids might want to watch, unlike the lipservice crap on now.

    The 7D Thread

I've seen some promos for that Sheriff Callie show, which also sounds somewhat interesting. The lead character is a calico cat holding a traditionally male role, and is voiced by pop star Mandy Moore (who has had some VA experience in the past). Doesn't seem to follow the Dora mode, either...

I guess there are multiple incarnations of the 7D, too, all with the same names and personalities.

    The 7D Thread

Seems that only the pilot was done in Flash as it would have been "too design-heavy" as opposed to traditional animation, whatever that means. So apparently cost wasn't an issue for Disney. The link contains a great video of the voice actors recording dialogue in the booth, which I always...

R.I.P Don Pardo (Announcer for SNL)

Even after his contract with NBC expired in 2004, Don continued to announce for SNL as often as he could. Now that's dedication. :)

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Because as we all know, all fat people are disgusting slobs who bring their condition on themselves, and all skinny people take wonderful care of their bodies. /sarcasm

    Weirdest Sesame Street Moment

Not even the Crack Master was as bad as that!

    The Steven Universe thread

A 2nd season has been in production for both shows, at least.

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

I agree with you, but I do like the little editorials and "what you never knew" episodes he added. They're a nice break from the traditional reviews.

So It's Come to This: A Clip Show Thread

They did play with that cliché in the season 2 finale of The Amazing World of Gumball. It gets set up like a boring old clip show with the Wattersons looking through their photo album of past events, only for the citizens of Elmore to interrupt them and call them out on all the mayhem they caused.

    The Steven Universe thread

So, Nicki Minaj is going to be voicing a guest character in an upcoming episode. I hope she can voice-act better than she can sing.

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory
