    Muppet Kubrick Collection

Love these things! Unless I can find a good price I'll likely pass on the Supreme Kermit Kubrick. I'm not that much of a completist, but if that Kermit came with some sort of signature skateboard he could ride that would be a different matter! I still couldn't believe they left Beaker...

If Jim hadn't died in 1990

Why the Muppets are at Disney and Henson is Fraggles & Fantasy: In various articles before Jim Henson's death he admitted to selling the Muppets (in particular) to Disney because he felt that the mouse could take good care of Kermit and the gang while Jim focused on other types of projects...

If Jim hadn't died in 1990

Why the boxes? I don't think anyone has to be just one thing. The world is so big, there's a lot to experience. That's what I see in Jim Henson's work and I'm glad for it. He knew who he was and kept exploring. :search: Life is too difficult and brief to follow someone else's arbitrary...

    Muppet Kubrick Collection

Here is a picture of my current Muppet Kurbick collection! The rare Beaker is coming to me soon! I already have the color-coated Oscar assortment. I'm skipping the multicolored Elmos (go figure) and I might just get the Blue Twiddlebug someday, but the green one is good enough for me...

    ¡Viva la Puntuación!

I agree with all of it, but then again I like to be agreeable. ;) (Now wondering if there should be a filter on the word agree? ! :concern: )

    ¡Viva la Puntuación!

What are ya talking about?.! He he! I made a white . between the ? and ! symbols (however a space does just as well) and it turns out just fine. It's a good work-around for those who find it important to use such punctuation contextually while still discouraging those for more "overly...

    Your Gonzo Replica Pictures

Master Replicas is playing it smart with the bear. Who knows what the prototype looks like? It is probably a poor assessment of how the final product will turn out so they are likely keeping it under their crushed bowler cap. :o I, myself, like to see all the stages of production, but I also...

Does the Muppet store in New York still exist?

Muppet Stuff closed many years ago back in the late 80s I believe. I remember taking a trip there every year and all of a sudden it was a flower shop. That was it. Unfortunately they didn't open a new location. :sympathy: There was also a chain of Sesame Street General Stores that opened and...

    Incredible Electric Mayhem picture

Fantastic work. I always thought of Animal as a challenge when translating the characters like this, but it is pulled off nicely. The only personal note is that I have always seen Zoot as darker complected, but the man's got a yellow nose so who can ever tell for sure? Either way this is...

Disney Enlists Segel & Stoller for new Muppets movie

Hey, I liked Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse. It far exceeds the original concept to me. But I get what you're saying. And Looney Tunes had established "older" people working on concepts for films and television that just didn't pan out. I felt those projects had a lack of focus or chose empty focal...

Disney Enlists Segel & Stoller for new Muppets movie

Hey, who threw the penguin? Jason Segel is a Muppet fan who decided to do something with a property dear to his heart because no one else was doing so (or doing it very well after some countless literature remakes). It sounds like a classic story, so why expect the worst? :search: It...

If Jim hadn't died in 1990

Peoples is Peoples…However Some Peoples is Fickle What makes me cringe is there are many I have met in their early 20s that primarily link Jim Henson with the Muppet Babies cartoon show! :sympathy: I admit that it's not my favorite project, but it has its place. But certainly not as Jim...

Jimmy Fallon to replace Conan on "Late Night"

(I was kind of kidding there with the Chairy comment. Note that I didn't say Pee Wee should have a show. I'm certain there would be rights issues anyway.)

Jimmy Fallon to replace Conan on "Late Night"

There's a puppet sketch show that Henson is getting on the air and they also created a pilot for a puppet late night talk show that never took off. That's propbably what Dwayne is referencing - that having Henson puppets host a talk show would be great and much better than Fallon. :flirt:

Jimmy Fallon to replace Conan on "Late Night"

I wonder if he'd bring Chairy! Of course you know she's voiced by the wonderful Ms Cyndi Lauper. :coy:

Could some Muppets be considered violent?

There has been a longstanding issue with the extreme politically correct crowd dealing with Miss Piggy's outbursts, but I (and most people) tend to find that silly. :) Suggs is sadistic, but has gotten his comeuppance before in sketches. That's the deal with him. It's what makes him funny...

Little Muppet Monsters is on Youtube

I still like Monsters better than Babies, but that's my thing. I'm outnumbered by a lot! :o You know, since they own the Muppets now, Disney should really think about making an animated Pigs In Space show (like they did with Buzz Lightyear) to introduce the younger folk to the Muppets in a...

Jimmy Fallon to replace Conan on "Late Night"

In my day it was Dave that was young and fresh. Guess I still see that. I remember when he did a walk on for Conan in his early days when O'Brien was still struggling. Letterman may be crass, but he is always a class act. I see him as more cranky than old guy. He always had that. The day he...
