You are so right about the size of Palisades' Muppets. I have nothing aganst the dimples, textures or buttons, but I did think the articulation was a bit much in many cases. I think the figures should have been a cm or so shorter and had only half the articulation because it really compromised...
Things like Deep Dish Nine, clever as it was, are why many of the characters from MT and JHH area largely seen as New Coke. I understood the new performers sort of thing, but it was much more forced upon and tolerated by fans rather than connecting with us.
All of the Jim Henson Hour...
I have a problem with Bratz' values. I love my consumerism of movies, music and toys, but all of that is driven by my tastes and personal investigation rather than someone telling me what to like. That's different with today's youth and Bratz-like brands. Advertainment like that is responsible...
I think they just ran out of stuff and (as reported) they taped new stuff that is currently being formatted for the site. Disney's interactive division apparently has several people for content to go through before it's considered done baking. :hungry:
Hits are up, interest is piqued and I...
You're right. People play the most violent and bloody video games where points are awarded for brutality and humiliation (like Grand Theft Auto) but a little bit of sex is still taboo in this country. I remember when the television program Three's Company was considered risqué so things have...
:search: If you are planning on seeing it, I suggest watching it with a group of people with "out there" tastes and make a small gathering of it. Feebles is very much a cult film and better suited for that sort of setting. It has problems and I can't report to really liking it outright, but it...
Mickey used to be funny, but that is before any of our time. In his first short subjects he was a sly mischievous little mouse who seemed to relish getting in and out of trouble. These personality traits were assigned to Donald Duck later on - with the twist that the harder he tried to get out...
You are right. http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/The_Thought_Lion Apparenlty he's called the Thought Lion. I guess I always called him Kimba for obvious reasons when it wasn't so. Feel free to edit that little portion of my post if you'd like. ;)
:attitude: Puppetry Celebration Menu :scary:
(Puppetry Day)
Fade in on a canyon between two earth-colored mountains with Aughra standing under the one on the right side. This is all that happens to be lit in the center of the menu. There is a white version of the Dark Crystal castle right of...
Cool and Desirable but not Flawless...
I wouldn't call these flawless by any means. They are a little more cartoony than I would have liked. I wish they'd gone more stylized as long as they weren't following the puppet design so closely. Kind of like the animated Clone Wars style toon...
It's a theatrical release movie! But it will likely take two years from now for its release. Let's hope they get it to us sooner. I want my Muppet movie! :halo:
Okay, I must admit the little red guy was very cute in that brief clip. Not the least bit annoying. Maybe he's learned the lesson or Mine-itus. :grouchy:
:search: The street looks fine to me, but I think they're shooting from different angles. Maybe a little nudging of set pieces has...
Okay, you have now coined the word - Mupdate! No, it's not my dream of having an intimate dinner with Beaker (he he, must be the cute red hair) , it means any new addition of Muppety goodness. :D
