:coy: The Weinstein Company wouldn't have been my first pick for a distributor, however they are known for allowing more creative freedom for writers, directors and properties so this might be the best fit. I wonder about the budget?
:excited: The film is now on course going forward instead...
Um...it's skippable...
I am sorry to say that the last two hours and fifteen minutes (yes, that is Speed Racer's running length) was spent in dismay about how Warner Brothers could allow a film to be released this way. I am not saying the picture is terrible, or even bad. It's merely mediocre...
Is it wrong that show's creepiness intrigues me? But more in an after hours club as a teenager sort of way…not that I ever went to after hours clubs as a teen. :halo: That's when the Boo-Bah's get ya!
I can't speak for mat Matt, but I feel those brief cameo or crossover moments are very magical in that they broaden the scope of the Muppetverse and world of Henson. It visually portrays the current state of Henson (Muppet) characters aware of one another, occupying the same space and...
No problem. I do agree with you on the importance of these crossovers and that they are unlikely to return. Still, I have my fingers crossed. I think if anybody these days could be a catylist to get the ball rolling with that it's Jason Segel. If he can't get it then it probably can't be done...
I am discussing the press statement many of us had been talking about and was again being discussed in the post right before mine. My statement was in no way a commentary on your post or fandom. You must have skimmed through and missed that. It happens. ;)
You're right. The new television standard will be the widescreen dimension. It is something a lot of the entertainment industry has wanted for a very long time and now it is being phased in. There is a full screen letterboxing when watching programs taped in the traditional television...
I'm such a bad influence. :concern:
I really like the Gonzo sculpt. It definitely uses the Palisades work as a model. That's kind of what got me to want them in the first place. It's hard to find good-looking Gonzo product. But man, that Beaker was expensive!
:concern: Considering Segel's admiration for the original trilogy in which all of the films contained Sesame Street cameos (the Grouch was in all three) that maybe he'll try for SS cameos. We know how persuasive he was to Disney, maybe he can bridge Disney and Sesame Workshop...possibly Henson...
Heeeeeeere's Beaker (meep!)
 Here's the latest snapshot I took a minute ago. Still kind of a crude photo. I'll take another later. The only one I really want now is that blue Twiddlebug. It's hard to see Elmo in the photo, but that might have been passive aggressive on my part. :insatiable:
:search: I agree and actually made a point to mention that in the post of mine you quoted: "I'm glad it is on PBS because the program was created to give latch-key kids a step up in education and it should always be available to that demographic (in new shows, not just videos or reruns)."...
I feel a rant about these PSA spots coming on...(sorry in advance)
 The most offensive thing about the Truth anti-smoking ads (not unlike the milk industry ads or the anti-pot campaigns) is that there's little to no evidence that they are working. These sorts of advertisements are a...
:) I agree with you. Many of my friends don't think I'd find a lot of the Muppet parody stuff amusing. Most of it I do. There was this terrible parody many years back when Kami (the South African HIV+ Sesame Street character) was created to inform kids about prevention and interaction with HIV+...
:) I'm glad it's Kermit and Fozzie. The culture has been stuck on the dynamic relationship between the frog and the pig so long that they have forgotten the dynamic between the frog and his best bear! I particularly liked the back and forth between the two in the special features bumpers for...
:) I like all of these types.
:zany: The Kubrick parts (arms, legs, clothes, heads, torsos) are made to swap-out with one another. I created a "Brundlefly" Muppet (The Fly reference) and swear I heard it say, "Kill me now!" He he.
 I just got my Beaker today so I'll be snapping some...
Just my froggy opinion, of course...
:) Randy Newman is okay. He is a multiple award winner who is very successful at writing catchy and sweet individual songs with commercial appeal. Alan Menken's songs work on that level but also seem to have a wider scope; more of a deeper, layered journey...
