I would like to see Rowlf and Kermit together to promote a release. Now that they've got two different puppeteers I see a golden opportunity. They could feasibly have Kermit, Rowlf, Gonzo and Fozzie together for something. That would be special. No interviewer would be able to get a word in! :)...
I agree. The candy joke was so stale.
I think Kermit was avoiding the movie question because he likely isn't permitted to talk much about it and they are pushing the DVDs. I wanted to know more about that too.
And that one caller kind of mentioned that Kermit sounded like Michael J. Fox...
:attitude: Yeah, I agree and do that. I'm known for my independent spirit (especially around here) so I'm not sure why that sentiment is pointed toward me? However it's good to see Indy faring well. That's my point. I see most every film I can regardless of the review.
;) It is also fun to...
A View of 3 Wallflowers, Whoopi and the Muppets!
:) Personally as a fan I am bored with the Kermit - Miss Piggy dynamic. They need to shelve a lot of that for a while and it appears that they are getting it rather than perpetuating it. Kudos to Steve for clearing the path for other interesting...
:) Fozzie and Kermit are the fantastic professionals as always! :o
These horrible radio personalities make the "Dingo & the Baby" Family Guy episode look like less of a parody! All of these guys go for the cheapest jokes. This is what's killing radio. They had comedy gold and went for the...
This release has all of the uncut season three episodes so that gives it a perfect score in my book.
However, I was a little disappointed in the packaging design and art. The person involved in this has minimal Photoshop skills at best. It's not horrible, just C- grade work. The other...
:o Seriously, what's going on? The site was down a couple hours again. More and more lately MC is going offline. Is there something to be worried about? I'm concerned. :concern:
:o :) I have been watching the season three DVD and have to admit to wishing they'd picked another pair aside from Piggy and Kermit for the menu banter. I love the pig, I really do, but the bear and the frog dynamic has been missing for too long. I'm glad they'll be on the View tomorrow. The...
I liked "Ratatouille" and applaud Pixar for not making another kiddie style "Bug's Life" or "Cars" film. This one was for the grown ups (while not excluding the kids). It's a simple story with layers of subtext rather than an endless row of sight-gags and pop culture references. "Ratatouille" is...
:smirk: Grrrr. Well one thing Fraggle fans are is patient. We have to be.
I still disagree with the MindStyle decision to postpone the figures. I think if they were promoted on an insert with the final DVD set (other items are promoted in them already) and they contacted niche places like...
I particularly like the different styles of art and the ways the world of Batman and Gotham are explored. Here's the link to the trailer for the DVD. http://warnervideo.com/batmangothamknight/ It's more than just filler between films; it's an artpiece in itself. :)
Who said the franchise was stalled or that the film wasn't supposed to be made? I don't recall that ever being the case. The Last Crusade was only a title; it wasn't intended to be the last film if George Lucas could come up with a new appropriate MacGuffin. Spielberg and Ford have always been...
;) Yeah, what was up? The site and especially the forum have been really tweaky on my end. I defrag regularly, delete my cookies etc (I know those are common causes) but you guys are not alone in this weirdness of connection. I am getting it quite often too. It appears to be fixed for a while...
On CG
I was more thinking of minimal CG usage totaling less than a minute of screen time for a shot or two - not like it's being exploited now in other projects. It's not an all or nothing proposition. I'm an "everything in its place" sort of guy. I don't see the Muppets ever going too far down...
:) Voice and Performance:
Steve has definitely grown into the Kermit role. He really is the hardest character to capture from voice to performance. Kermit is such a simple sock-shape that every nuance shows. It will always be a different Kermit, but an excepted and beloved approximation...
I was wondering how fans around here felt about the Batman: Gotham Knight DVD coming this July 8th?
Abbreviated Project Description:
Acclaimed screenwriters including David Goyer (Batman Begins) Josh Olson (A History of Violence) and Alan Burnett (Batman The Animated Series) join forces with...
Computer painting of traditionally drawn animation cancels-out the original production cel market too. There's something about owning an actual piece of film history like that (in stead of a limited edition reproduction).
I get why hand drawn animation is now colored on the computer. While...
I suppose my support goes to having up to, but not over, three punctuation marks in a row. It just seems right. :)
My post was wordier than it needed to be (as usual). ;)
First Reviews (as if they matter much)
Early critical consensus from Cannes is fairly good. Apparently the film comes in just over two hours, has lots of action, fantastic effects, story elements that have been in the works for quite some time yet is reportedly a bit lighter on the charm of the...
I think Scooter's voice has been remarkably good in the last two television specials (by Brian Henson and Rickey Boyd) and Adam Hunt provided a fairly good likeness in Muppets From Space. Bill Barretta's Rowlf is very good. There is something in the laugh and personality that doesn't quite match...
