Let's see, I liked: Japanese Cake, Bread Dough, Frog Legs (Poor Robin), Champagne, Lobsters, Spaghetti, Flapjacks and Muffins (see de moofin? And we herve der boomber-shooten.).
They say that the Chef episodes were when you could really hear off-stage laughing (especially from R.H. Hunt...
My mother loves the Viking pigs doing "In the Navy." She says she nearly died laughing the first time she saw it...and I get quite a few cackles out of it, too. I think the writers liked having the pigs engaging in evil, tyrannical (but screamingly silly) acts.
In fact, I find the opening...
Yeah, and with a paper, you don't have to download anything or use any electricity. You just open the pages and go.
I'm starting to wonder if the 24-hour news channel has any real effect on our lives. Sure, CNN is known for some really excellent reporting...but I think we're getting to a point...
Which celebrity would I go out with? Oh, good grief, this is a tough one. I'm really picky when it comes to men, and most of the famous guys out there these days don't exactly live up to my standards.
However, I don't think I'd say no to a nice casual evening out on the town with Richard...
Nora: How was everyone's weekends?
Storyteller: A group of us went down to the Gray Grotto for a bit.
Nora: Why the Gray Grotto?
Storyteller: Because it's nice and quiet, and one of my friends had a really bad headache, so we all took her down there for a bit.
Nora: Ah. And you, Erin?
MN: The...
But I have to deal with depressing news because I'm a reporter. Fun.
But coming to hang out around here and talk about the Muppets usually makes me feel better.
But when it comes to being a grand-standing, preaching showboater, it's a tie between Convincing John and The Wizard (who himself could carry a tune, but that's mainly Richard's doing).
Yes, that's right...and it was Richard's younger sister Rachel asking them all "to turn our thoughts today...to Richard Henry Hunt." Same number of words and same number of syllables, so it fit the meter perfectly.
And let's see, according to Amanda, the family all told stories, the Muppet...
I haven't watched Sesame Street in an eternity and a half, so my memories of the human cast are a little hazy.
Mom told me that she just got a new computer for her office at work...and its official system name is Sweetums, because "it's big and hairy and I can't figure it out." She told me...
I think it's time someone bumped this thread up.
Let's see, other reasons why we love Scooter...for a character who was initially assigned to "go-fer" status at the Muppet theater, he's amazingly three-dimensional. He's got a sense of humor and he loves to be in on the silliness and...
MN: Gotcha. Room 30, you guys.
Storyteller: Oh, of all times for my bunions to act up...
Nora: What are you talking about, Ed himself said that there's only elevators in the building. We can just ride up.
Storyteller: Yeah, well, my bunions get aggravated by riding in elevators.
MN: Good...
MN: Okay, so we got Clifford's books and the shell necklace delivered okay, so it looks like things are going okay.
Storyteller: Heard you saved the French club from a terrible fate today.
MN: Me? (laughs) Yeah, just the fate of boredom and ennui. The DVD player conked out just as we were...
Yeah, and he also played Crash during the Inner Tube segments. And I read that he played Sweetums on one show.
The whole show seems to have been an opportunity for the Muppet gang to do some more experimental stuff.
That's true, that's true...but I don't think Richard was a regular on the Jim Henson Hour; during that era, he was busy with SS and the Ghost of Faffner Hall and ten million other things.
The show I saw in my dream was marked as the Muppet Show, but it might have been a cross between TMS and...
(chuckle) Beaker must have been overjoyed at not having to be a test subject for Bunsen for a few days.
But the effect is sadly temporary.
Sadly temporary. (sigh)
By the way, interesting Muppet-related dream a few nights ago. On one episode of TMS, the young female guest...
I had an interesting dream a few nights ago. It looks like it might have been influenced by the Cleo Laine episode of the Muppet Show, 'cause it does seem a little similar.
In the foreground, on the set of a late 80s-early 90s edition of The Muppet Show, there is a girl or a young woman...
Let's see.
-I had only three wisdom teeth instead of the usual four.
-I won the local newspaper's spelling bee three years in a row back in middle school.
-I can't walk past a scented candle shop without getting a killer headache.
-My great-great-grandfather in Belfast was one of a large team...
Well, proof positive that I've been on a James Taylor binge lately...thank you, Richard.
I've had "Her Town, Too" stuck in my head for about the last hour.
MN: (looks up) I could have sworn that I heard a cake explode earlier today.
Storyteller: Ooh, yes, heard something about it from Gillis...and I've been hearing rumors about a river of bubbles in one of the other rooms.
Nora: Oh, well...business as usual in the dorms.
MN: I called Music Has...
Well, I thought Red did a good job on "There's A Lot I Want To Know," and all the tongue-twister songs.
Best singers appear to be two Fraggles: Gobo and Wembley, and one (extremely) Silly Creature: Richard Hunt.
