JH: Oh, goody, limes in the coconut. Thank you, Ed. (takes box and sets it down) Truth be told, I think the cloud we're sitting on was made from bits of clouds 9 and 10, so we can have a bit of celestial bliss and a bit of party central at the same time, 'course, there's really no set guidelines...
JH: Oh, it's not fundraising, it's all free. And it's not so much a contest so much as a chance for people to get to share their baked treats with everyone.
R: Yeah, they get to show off their skills, we get fed, so it's all good.
JJ: As for clouds...well, this one is cloud 9.635. It's a chunk...
Good point. I'll ask them where Joe and Eren are.
JH: Oh, Eren was in the bakeoff, so she's been stationed at a table for a bit.
MN: What'd she make?
JJ: She sent in the baklava. And it was divine, to say the least.
DS: Yeah, and what did Joe send in again...
R: He did those black and white...
Wow, a month already! Three cheers for the happy couple, hip, hip ---
(loud, guttural burp from a cloud overhead)
MN: Richard, for heaven's sake!
R: Wasn't me; it was Don.
MN: Oh.
DS: (hiccups) Pardon me. (pats stomach)
R: A bunch of the other angels are having a big celestial bakeoff up...
MN: (whistles) Richard, come back here, got you and Jim something from the mortal world!
R: (reappearing) Let me see...oh, man, carrot cake with cream cheese icing.
MN: Yeah, and this is for Jim. Lemon bars.
R: Excellent...thanks a lot, Ed...and yes, we heard about the other Richard. That was a...
(pajama and robe-clad group settled in on sofa)
Storyteller: Good first day, everyone?
MN: Nearly fell asleep during history class.
Nora: (sigh) I wish I could have done that.
Storyteller: Why, what's wrong?
Nora: I haven't been sleeping well lately.
MN: Is something wrong with Mrs. Farley...
(chuckle) Love comes to Koozebane...or at least, love thrives on Koozebane.
(Richard flies in and settles down on his cloud overhead)
R: What a night...
MN: Did you fly in and visit James?
R: Yes I did...but on the way down I caught some idiot trying to break into Beaker's Breakers.
MN: As...
I know it takes a long time to put together a proper season set...but, really, the music rights people and the Disney people are really dragging their heels on this.
Now, now, you guys, let's not have any tussles around here. Even though we are fan clubs set up for two different Muppeteers.
(drops off box of donuts, labeled, "Compliments of the RHLC - these are the few donuts we could keep away from Richard"
MN: And Richard's happy that his stomach is feeling better too.
R: But where I come from, limiting one's donut intake is inexcusable.
MN: Well, for you it is, what with your metabolism rate and all...oh, by the way, I noticed in the paper that your favorite singer's got a birthday today.
R...
Yeah, we'd see all the stuff we're most interested in seeing...and it'd be a heck of a lot cheaper, besides.
It's kind of funny...Belushi and the writing staff are ranting and raving about how the Muppets are stupid, but you've got Chevy, Jane, Gilda and a bunch of others sneaking over to...
Really? And here I thought Richard was much too honest and upright to be a cloud dealer. The ones I've run into told me all sorts of lies about the precipitation content, and claimed that they were renting me a nimbus when it was actually a cirrus...:)
R: (coming over and sitting down) Yeah...
I think it's a matter of shifting dimensions and all that stuff. The kind of thing they'd deal with on Dr. Who or something.
Speed Tracer, I think the writers and performers would prefer that you just acknowledge that it's a fantasy world, and just sit back and enjoy, without excessive...
Yes, there was, in which Wishbone played Sancho Panza. Last year, in one of my upper-level English courses, we spent the entire semester studying Don Quixote, and the prof mentioned the episode early on in the course.
I thought it was a rather charming show, and rather useful.
Storyteller: How about a cookie jar in the shape of a beehive?
MN: Sounds nice...hey, Nora, you look a little depressed.
Nora: Yeah, tomorrow's Monday and the first day of classes after break.
MN: Oh, good point. That's enough to make anyone depressed.
Nora: Yeah, and on top of that...
MN: The...
Oh, I know...the alarm's going off when your body's internal clock is saying, "You've still got an hour. Go back to sleep." Vexing. :boo:
Me too...when I come to the forum's main page, I check to see if the RHLC is up under "Friends and Family."
So MBM's got a birthday today...very...
