Then again, that might have been the whole point. When Junior's down at Fraggle size, he's not as powerful as he is at full Gorg size, and perhaps Richard and the others show this by having Junior try to do things that he would do normally. But yeah, it is weird seeing Junior being the same size...
Yeah, and Dad was the one who took our passport photos. And oh, man, Kiki, I know what you mean - Dad will spend an eternity and a half making sure the shot is just so, and he will take at least a million of them.
On to other topics...yeah, it it certainly sounds like Richard would have...
Yeah, my dad does that a lot with his photos. He's a photography fanatic.
I'm glad to see that Muppet Wiki is fleshing out the episode guides for Ghost of Faffner Hall. I've been kind of curious about what it was like, and that sort of thing.
Also noticed: Richard's listed as "Production...
That's okay, you can certainly tell who's who. And to tell the truth, it looks kind of like an Impressionist painting or something.
Richard's sitting a little bit in the back, but it's clear that he's kind of the alpha wolf in the pack there. Perhaps it was his job to keep Morely (or Morley?)...
Hi, Skeeter Muppet, nice to see you again.
Yeah, I've read about James Taylor's appearance on Ghost of Faffner Hall before. Might have been Muppet Wiki. And it sounds like the episode was good fun for both Richard and James; I can definitely see the two of them chatting and shooting the...
Oh, I don't know; when we were in London last spring, on the Sunday of our visit we attended morning Mass at Westminster Cathedral, which is close to the same size as St. Patrick's, and the place was packed. And we saw quite a few churches and temples with full parking lots (or car parks) that...
MN: (looking up from book) Is there something burning in here?
Nora: (wrinkles nose) I don't know, but something smells like wet cat.
Storyteller: I heard that they had to shut the kitchen down for a bit.
MN: Another day in paradise...so what's on tap for everyone this week?
Storyteller: More...
You know, several weeks ago, my dad, brother and I were discussing Trading Places (conversation started with American Werewolf in London and veered madly away from there), and I mentioned the presence of certain noteworthy Muppeteers in the film. I said that Richard played Wilson the...
Good point. Jerry and Floyd have the same cool-dude bearded hipster look and attitude. And I can really also see Jerry as Pa Gorg. They're both big, bearded and loudmouthed. (and I mean that only in the best possible way, Jerry, should you be reading this)
As for Richard...well, when I saw a...
(unrelated note)
Guys, by the way, I saw something truly shocking today. Mom and I were in a butcher's shop to pick up a few racks of lamb, because my uncle Dave and his family are coming in from California to spend Easter with us (and Uncle Dave's a real stickler about serving the right...
Yeah, aren't they?
Although...last night, Mom and I were reading through a quilt book that I got her for her birthday (it's a book of really elaborate quilts from around the world), and Dad commented, in a teasing way, that if he met some of those quilters he would tell them to "Get a life!"...
Yeah, I didn't recognize them either. But Cheryl said she was shooting for an abstract look or something like that. And she did do a good job on the prominent eyebrows...and she loved Sweetums as Richard played him.
Mom claims our version of Sweetums was better (but she's kinda biased on the...
Let's see...
On Janice's patch, it says: See you around the pool...fer sure.
On Gladys' patch: You like me, you really like me!
On Beaker's patch: "Me, me..." (that's him singing 'Feelings')
Top row, third from left: those are Sweetums' eyes and nose, as done by Cheryl Henson.
Lower row...
I think it's interesting that Richard was designated as "Creative Consultant" on Ghost of Faffner Hall. And since Frank's held the same title on other Muppet productions, it does certainly look like Richard was being trained to take on the role of director.
I don't know; probably a younger relative or the son of a friend or co-worker.
Richard looks like he's in his early to mid 20s in that photo. And if you were to look closely at the photo, someone's painted or embroidered a pair of red AIDS awareness ribbons into it, so it looks like Richard...
MN: Finally, the weekend.
Storyteller: So are you planning to actually relax this time?
MN: (sigh) I've got a huge paper to start working on, and ten million other things besides.
Nora: Yeah, and I promised to put in an extra shift down at Coming Unbound tomorrow morning.
Storyteller: Right...
Yeah, that's the one!
Let's see...top row, second from left is a patch containing a photo of Richard with a young boy (prob. about 7 or 8). And the kid appears to be climbing on something, and Richard's holding onto the kid's hand to help steady him. Second from right, same row, is a...
