Yeah, Dave said it was a poignant moment when Gobo and the others finally met Doc face to face, so I imagine there were more than a few teary eyes at the wrap.
I do wonder what Richard and the others thought of the animated version of FR, whether they liked the voices or hated them. I mean...
Storyteller: Gulp...ulp...(lurches forward and clutches stomach) Time travel makes me feel unwell.
Erin: (dizzy) I have the same problem with paint fumes and bleach. On the other hand, thanks to Ed, Claudia seems to be back to normal.
Nora: (huddled on sofa) Normal? Are you sure that's the...
Storyteller: (pokes head out door) What is going on up there?
Nora: Sounds like a pogostick contest or something.
Storyteller: Pogostick...where I come from, it's a leapstick.
Erin: And the Doozers call it something else entirely.
Storyteller: Flooping. Guaranteed to induce hiccups in five out...
Hmm, now whoever could that be? ;) And hey, if Jim can do voices for the animation, what's to stop the rest of the team from doing it?
It sounds like Richard's channeling mostly Wayne, with some Scooter.
Someone mentioned that the FR puppeteers (especially Richard) wanted to do the voices...
I think I read "Hallows" in the space of about 3-4 hours, which is about how long it took me to get through "Phoenix."
It's only natural that there should be a Wiki for Harry Potter - you've got one for the Muppets, one for Star Wars...so why not Potter? They're just very well-written...
I did spot some Asterix comics on the graphic novels shelf in the bookstore recently, but they were kinda hidden in there. And a few pages from one Asterix story were used in the textbook for my French history course last fall. But...yeah, for the most part, international comics, with the...
Well, this is kinda obvious, but I've read (and re-read and re-read) "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." Excellent book, excellent - and I'm going back through the whole series now.
I've also been working on some of the books in the "No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" by Alexander McCall...
Either way, Scooter's quite lucky - after all, not everyone, human or Muppet, gets to hold hands and sing with Diana Ross before an audience of millions. It clearly shows that Scooter's more than just the gofer now.
(And as if that weren't proof enough, there is that kiss he got from Lynda...
Erin: I also thought the epilogue added a nice touch...and the fanfic writers are going to have a field day, you know that.
Nora: I thought I was going to need tissues on 34.
Storyteller: Oh, I needed tissues starting around 5 or 6.
Erin: So what's on for today?
Nora: Now that the HP release is...
No...Homer was the one responsible for the Iliad and the Odyssey. The line from Aeschylus comes from The Libation Bearers, part of the saga of Orestes and Electra and their parents.
It's only appropriate, since many elements of the Potter stories have roots in Greek mythology and drama.
Okay, titles are as follows, and I hope I'm really not spilling anything by saying so:
2: In Memoriam
24: The Wandmaker
29: The Lost Diadem
I approved of J.K. Rowling's choice of quotes to open the book - one from Aeschylus and another from William Penn. Very interesting, and quite apt.
JH: Who's JR? He's some guy named Ewing, got shot by...
JR: No I'm not, I'm Joe Raposo.
JJ: Well, there was bound to be some confusion...there's too many of us up here whose names start with J. Exceptions are Eren and that little punk from the Bronx.
R: Your face, Jerry.
MN: Okay, guys, how...
Nora: Oh, it is, good, Bert, really good.
MN: True...can't really discuss the plot, though.
Storyteller: Is it true you've already gone back and re-read it a few times?
MN: Might have, might have.
Nora: Wow...well, the sale brought in a good chunk of money for Coming Unbound, so Mrs. Farley's...
You can pretty much see all of them back there, in their black clothes and hoods - they look like a group of ninjas, in a way.
Quite so: like most people, Richard had at least two sides: there was the crazy, zany joker side that he most often showed off in the studio, and then there was the...
(chuckle) Yeah, Kermit could have used some of that. After all, running the Muppet Show, doing a few movies, reporting on SS and fending off Miss Piggy probably is a tad stressful for a certain amphibian.
That's right - like the Muppet Show, the Potter books are enjoyed by all age groups -...
Well, everyone, yesterday I started (and finished) "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." I won't give anything away about the plot, but all I'll say is that it was incredible.
You know, sometimes I wonder what Jim and Richard would have thought of the HP series had they been alive...
MN: (lowering book) Wow.
Nora: So that's it, then.
Storyteller: (dabs at eyes with tissue) It is.
MN: J.K. Rowling really pulled out all the stops on this one...and that's all I can say at the moment.
Nora: Still can't discuss plot elements openly?
MN: No, a lot of people have only just...
