Where The Wild Things Are Movie

I truly do, Marky. I don't know what it is, whether it's Jerry Nelson giving Gobo a slight Canadian accent or that the production was shot in Toronto, but I just feel like the Fraggles' world is wholly Canadian, and I love it. I also feel the same way about Emmett Otter, but I don't expect...

Where The Wild Things Are Movie

Truer words were never spoken, my friend. And I also believe that Fraggle Rock is wholly Canadian!

Where The Wild Things Are Movie

Me too! And then I found out that Jim Henson and Wild Things creator Maurice Sendak were good friends, so I started to make the connection. I have no doubt that Sendak's work was an indirect influence on at least some of the Muppet Show full-body monsters, so it's really excited to hear the...

Where The Wild Things Are Movie

Yeah, it could, but I'm looking forward to seeing some good ol' puppetry bring these characters to life.

Where The Wild Things Are Movie

I'm not sure what you were saying, but it's not going to be animated, it's going to be live action and animatronics.

Where The Wild Things Are Movie

I found this link which details how director Spike Jonez is finally getting his film adaptation of the children's book, "Where The Wild Things Are" off the ground, and most importantly, the Jim Henson company will be creating the monsters! Can I get a wahoo, people...

    Kermit Cartoon

That was drawn by Mike Peters, who draws the comic strip Mother Goose and Grimm. He's really brilliant, and this is a great cartoon! He did one that I remember from my childhood called "Dr. Jekyll and Mister Rogers" that was of a similar vein and just as funny.

    Muppets Oil Painting

Stunning work, Chris! That's incredibly photo-realistic! And it's hard to believe that this is the first time you've used oils since this piece turned out so great. I know from my college art classes that oils can be a difficult medium to work in, so congrats on mastering it!

    Muppet cartoon by Lowercasegods

Don't feel bad. Many people found my puppet breakdancing troupe cartoon obscure. But just to help educate you in these characters, H.R. Pufnstuf was a kid's show from the late 60's/early 70's starring mister Pufnstuf himself, a big goofy looking dragon. The show was produced by Syd and Marty...

    Muppet cartoon by Lowercasegods

Goriddle Gorilla is from a kid's show called The Great Space Coster, which ran from 1981-1986. It was Kevin Clash's second major puppeteering job (Captain Kangaroo was his first), and he performed Goriddle. Other Muppet people like John Lovelady and Kermit Love were also key members of the...

Those sketches are really wonderful! Do you create art professionally? If not, I suggest you do. You've got the talent.

    Muppet cartoon by Lowercasegods

Here's another cartoon. This one isn't technically a Muppet cartoon, since it focuses on famous puppets from other corners of children's television. But I did slip some Muppets into the crowd scene, just because, to paraphrase Pete: Puppets is puppets. Sesame Street fans should appreciate...

    Help Me Please

Take your favorite Muppet character and put them in a situation that's totally unfamiliar to them. That's why I try to do in my cartoons, at least. It's always been a good idea generator for me.

Jim Henson's Puppet Improv March 8-12

This is the coolest, most original idea I've seen come out of either Muppet camp in years upon years! God, I've gotta see how I can get down there and view this firsthand! Someone had better release a DVD of this or something! We haven't seen an adult and "naughty" Jim Henson production since...

I've had this idea in my head for the past week. Hopefully Vic Romano doesn't think I'm invading his turf by digitally creating the background:crazy: Hope you guys like it. Jay http://www.deviantart.com/view/28659451/

Hmmmm....Girl made of fire. Seems pretty off-base from the original Gelfling epic, to me.
