Hey, as long as the cartoon made you feel something, then it's all good!

    Muppet cartoon by Lowercasegods

You know, regardless of how anyone feels about my Brian Henson cartoon, I'd just like to express how good it feels for me to be able to share the cartoon with people who actually get it! When I first drew the cartoon, it ran in the pages of my college newspaper. And I'd wager that 99% of the...

    Making Female Body - Mature

Please post some photos as your puppet progresses. I'd love to see how your work evolves. And I'm saying this from an artistic perspective, not a "oh man, I wanna see a naked puppet chick" pervert perspective! Ha!

Wow! I consider such a comparison a real compliment! Nast is practically the father of American editorial cartooning. Thank you!

    Muppet cartoon by Lowercasegods

Okay, this isn't going to be easy. I want to warn anyone who is content with Brian Henson's decision making in the past two years to please avoid this cartoon. I'm not out to offend anyone's sensibilities. I drew this cartoon for my college paper back when Brian first sold the Muppets to...

Jim Henson's Death on Entertainment Tonight

I remember this broadcast. I was around fifteen when Jim passed away. It still chokes me up.

    Clifford: a good guy

Clifford worked well in "The Jim Henson Hour", and as has been mentioned here before, he did work better with sunglasses. I thought he had a great design, and was one of Kevin Clash's best characters. I can see why he didn't work so well as host of "Muppets Tonight." Because the essence of his...

    Tartakovsky directing Dark Crystal sequel

If they're going to do as much digital backgrounds as they've said they're going to do, then the production time will probably be cut down to half of the original's, I imagine.

    Tartakovsky directing Dark Crystal sequel

From what I've read, most of the original vocal cast has returned if not all of them.

    Tartakovsky directing Dark Crystal sequel

My first instinct will always be "leave well enough alone." I think the original Dark Crystal is a masterpiece, as well as a self-contained story that needs no sequels, prequels or any other kind of "quels" for that matter. However, I don't feel that this is a sequel made exclusively for the...

    Muppets in comics

Actually, that was drawn by Guy and Brad Gilchrist, who drew the Muppet comic strip in the early 80's. They took over the Nancy comic strip in the mid 90's from Jerry Scott, who started his own comic strip (Zits) with Jim Borgman. Makes sense that the Gilchrists would continue making references...

    Muppet cartoon by Lowercasegods

I'm an idiot. My apologies. I'm actually really embarrassed. Erine, that message was meant for you, not Beau. Beau, I overdosed on stupid pills. I'm off to change my prescription. Sorry again.

These are really beautiful! I especially love the puppet with the boxy head. Very cool design!

    Muppet cartoon by Lowercasegods

Well Beau, I've had a lot of people suggest Muppet characters for cartoons. But the thing is, I rarely choose the character before the idea. When Sara asked me about drawing a Scooter cartoon, it wasn't so much "I need to create a cartoon around this character," but rather "Hey! This guy's got...

    Sesame Street on DVD?

I have no doubt that this has been brought up in some other thread, and if anyone cares to direct me to it, I'd appreciate it. But for now, I need to ask, has anyone heard any news about early seasons of Sesame Street (or at least a greatest hits collections) being released on DVD? I'd love to...

    Baby Janice

I really felt like the inclusion of "Toddler" Janice and Bean and Statler and Waldorf was the beginning of the end for Muppet Babies. The animation was getting weaker, Howie Mandel had left the show, and it was obvious that they were scraping for new ideas by introducing these "new" characters...

Y'know, I just read this thread for the first time, and I feel like I've just rocketed through a nineteen year old friendship with in in a matter of minutes. Thank god I read this thread to the end. Swear to god, I was starting to tear up. Anyway, I'm happy for any good news you're getting...
