I was talking to ReneeLouvier over on Deviantart's message boards, and she asked if I could come up with a Scooter cartoon. I thought about it very briefly, my imagination started to piece a working gag togther, and the end result is what you'll see below if you click on the link. Hope you guys...
I have a blog attached to my website that lists all news and updates in my cartooning career. You can check it out by visiting www.jayfosgitt.com and clicking on Jay's Blog at the bottom of the page.
Only because I love you guys, here's a quickie I drew a couple minutes ago. It's familiar territory for my comics, I'm afraid. Hope you like it.

All I remember from that episode of Hee Haw is a scene where Slim Pickens says to Oscar, "I can see why they call you a grouch!", and Oscar says, "I can't see why they call you Slim." That cracked me up...
And in John Landis' movie "An American Werewolf in London," Frank plays a spokesman for the American Embassy. Also, in the dream sequence where the main character's family are about to be attacked by werewolves, the kids are watching The Muppet Show.
Leave it to director John Landis (friend to both Frank Oz and Jim Henson and longtime aspiring Muppeteer) to put Muppet references in his most famous film! It's kind of like how Kevin Smith puts Star Wars references in all his films, and eventually got to put Mark Hamill in Jay and Silent Bob...
Except in the Sherlock skit. That was Lovelady. Even the trivia in the DVD says so. But I don't need pop ups to tell me that. All Lovelady's characters sounded the same.
That definitely would have made a wonderful reoccurring sketch. But I'd have wanted them to recast Watson. John Lovelady wasn't a very good puppeteer in my opinion.
My fondest memories of The Electric Company (and there were a lot) were of Letterman. That animation was just so funky and fun, and really inspired my own artwork, then and now. In fact, when I was around five or six I made my own Letterman comic book. Man I wish I still had that. And the voice...
The Fleischers were just so abstract and surreal, and it gave a great unique quality to their cartoons, especially the Popeye's. And what's neat about Popeye's mumblings is that they were all improvised. In those days, the Fleischers recorded their soundtracks AFTER the cartoons was made (the...
I think it probably helped that the bulk of the Henson kids were already adults by the time the split up happened. Only Heather, the youngest, was still in school and at the age where it's toughest to deal with. Not to say that being an adult makes seeing your folks split up any easier, but at...
On IMDB.com, I read that Garfield was used without cartoonist Jim Davis' permission, so that's why they've never re-run it on television. Evidently though, his frustration must not carry over to homevideo.
Yeah, Russi Taylor. She's also been the voice of Minnie Mouse since the early 80's and married Wayne Allwine, the guy who's voiced Mickey since the 80's!
I thought it was a really great concept. Kinda mind blowing, in childhood terms. It was like seeing Spider-Man (who's owned by Marvel comics) and Superman (owned by DC Comics) teams up. It's just something you fantasize about, and when it actuallt happens, you're just blown away. I recall that...
I read that Billy West (Stimpy from Ren and Stimpy) did Popeye. That guy is pure talent, so I'm glad they got him for Popeye. And it's certainly one more excuse for me to give it a chance.
