Stephanie D'Abruzzo responds about Caroll Spinney

Honestly, I doubt they'd bother to recast Baby Bear.

The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

Does your family have some sort of login associated with Dish for their website and such? If so, you should be able to use it for HBO Go online (I wouldn't know if this apparent issue between the providers would affect that).

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

I wasn't in to that special at all. Some of the musical performances were fine; half of them had nothing to do with Disney, and it all felt so weird treating this Mickey costume as the "real" Mickey. It's not like Kermit where he's an actual, physical thing. SW can definitely put out something...

    Episode info from trusted sources

I will say this: the scripts may not necessarily reflect verbatim what happens in each scene. I have seen a number of instances where the dialogue and such is different between the script and the aired piece. It's entirely possible that particular instance was changed between writing and...

Yeah, it's that clip. All those other clips are from season 28 as well.

    Emmet Otter Soundtrack Coming 11/2/2018

You can hear some samples here: https://www.varesesarabande.com/products/jim-hensons-emmet-otters-jug-band-christmas These sound amazing and straight from the original recordings, not lifting the audio from the special (like A Special Sesame Street Christmas).

Sesame Street Season 49 News and Rumors

I'm not too keen on the new Rosita puppet; looks way too shaggy and kinda like she's got a bushy mustache. That alternate Oscar they've been using looks kinda lousy too. BTW, those press kit links technically aren't "live" yet (i.e. officially made public), so I wouldn't be sharing them around yet.

    Little things we've noticed

Well, for one thing, the use of the Three Little Pigs as those pink AMs predate any of those other puppet pigs. Plus, they have a more cartoony look which suits their storybook origin.

    Courage the Cowardly Dog returning?

By Boomerang, he probably doesn't mean the channel - it's a new-ish VOD platform featuring a bunch of WB/Hanna-Barberra stuff. A lot of new programs and such are going there now.

Which old Sesame Street Characters could return for Season 50?

I would like to see new versions of old songs, yes. I feel like they should've been doing that for awhile. But again, I think the most they'll do is some silent cameos. Don't expect a Simon Soundman musical number or anything.

Which old Sesame Street Characters could return for Season 50?

I mean, they use Honkers all the time lately (mainly in the background, but they're there). I would expect a bunch of background cameos, but nothing major like Herry or Granny Fanny getting a whole storyline about themselves. They're making sure the focus is on the core group of characters...

Video: The Return of The Amazing Mumford

I think it's a little too high, but different strokes. I don't know if we'll see him on the show at all, but I think it's nice to recast some of the older, legacy characters so they can do little things like this, especially with the 50th anniversary coming up. Fingers crossed for a comeback...

It's Official: Caroll Spinney retires from Sesame Street after nearly 50 years

Season 50. So that'll be fall 2019/spring 2020 or summer 2020 for those watching on PBS.

It's Official: Caroll Spinney retires from Sesame Street after nearly 50 years

Considering there was the whole NY Times article, I think it's safe to say they had this planned for a little while now. I don't recall them doing anything for Fran (aside from the in-joke in The Cookie Thief special). I do remember when Jerry passed away, the YouTube channel uploaded a few...

It's Official: Caroll Spinney retires from Sesame Street after nearly 50 years

I've heard second/third-hand rumors that he was either going to be one of the telethon celebrity phone operators, or they were going to use him instead of Pepe in that brief Dirty Dancing scene.

I've been told they also don't have their entire library digitized, so that could just very well be one of the reasons.

It's Official: Caroll Spinney retires from Sesame Street after nearly 50 years

I don't know what to say that others haven't said already - he's earned it and it was an immense pleasure to be able to actually meet him (and get his autograph/an original doodle).
