But Kermit was just on CBS' "The Talk" to promote the Winter of Oz show he's in. Then he sang "Rainbow Connection" with the girl from the Hairspray musical. Surrounded by Christmas decor. Not singing a Christmas song. Whatever.
He was there promoting his appearance in The Wonderful Winter of Oz.
I thought the desk piece was kinda weak, but I liked Kermit's tiny cards, his arm choreography and the unexpected break out of "Man or Muppet."
I hope they can try and make sure any unreleased tracks are studio recordings / masters and not like some of the stuff from Songs of the Street which just rips the audio straight from the air (so you get all the sound effects and whatnot).
I'm glad this is happening. Aside from the "Elmo Slide," I don't think there's been single never-before-released track since the Songs of the Street album. I look forward to replacing some of my homemade mp3s with studio quality ones.
Been listening for a bit - sound quality is exceptional and the crossfading between tracks has improved.
One thing: I think the "Bells of Fraggle Rock" tracks are long overdue for a quality update.
If these first two episodes are any indication, it seems like the "stories" will be just "Muppets do stuff" and not an actual story.
Still don't like this letter usage. I get the idea of making the letter correspond to the theme (P - Photos), but couldn't they just as easily do a different...
Like I said before, I'm done expecting much from these new episodes.
Story felt wonky and ended kind of abruptly. I guess it was nice that they actually treated the cow as Gladys, and not some generic other cow name. It's never not nice seeing Slimey and Snuffy tho.
I never liked those...
That might be true; they could've loosened things up a bit once they saw Season 46 fully on air.
The number of celebrities has certainly decreased (I've said this before) - compare season 45's total of 38 celebrity guests for just 26 episodes vs. season 48's total of 9 for 35 episodes.
The...
Ernie never changed the channel; Bert was on the same station the entire time and the other TVs just happened to be set to the same thing.
And after re-watching the special, I'm assuming that Cookie was still duplicated because Oscar's wish was that "everyone here would go back to normal" and...
Really, really entertaining special; I liked it. It was funny and was great to see E&B get some starring roles at last and nobody felt like they were the focus; nice ensemble piece for everyone, as well as lots of nice bit roles for all the other classic characters (notice that Abby's the only...
Oh, I love Baby Bear, don't get me wrong. It's amazing how much funnier he is just saying something advanced like "harrowing situation" than he was being the straight man to Goldilocks.
There's not much visually distinct about Baby Bear that distinguishes him as a specific Sesame Street Muppet when it comes to merch. Part of the "core cast" thing, to me, is recognizing that "these Muppets sell the most toys, ego show them more often than not."
Yes, there is not much Herry or...
Well, they're also long-standing legacy characters. Baby Bear's old too (over 25 years, woof), but I don't think anyone looks to him/remembers him the way they do Mumford or Herry.
Yes (thrice), and yes. It's not a show full of mean jokes towards Sesame Street or poking too many holes in it (some of the stuff I've heard from early demos were a lot more pointed against children's shows).
I can see the Happytime Murders comparison and sure, there are a bunch of naughty...
