There were a number of factors that I think made it quasi-doomed from the start. The main thing was that it was an entirely rushed affair. The pilot was done extremely quickly, it seems, so they didn't have much of a hold on what they actually wanted to do. And they pitched it for Fall 2016...

I don't think they can just go in and use the Kaufman studios when they want; it probably costs a lot more with all the extra operations. This was done in their personal studio in their Midtown office building. I thought this okay; the lyric flow was really off.
