While both movies were flops, FTB at least garnered a following. EIG has a following of mothers finding an Elmo DVD in the 5 dollar bin. Then again, it could all be because the rerelease of FTB pretty much launched WB's distribution deal for SW's DVDs. Otherwise, I wouldn't have seen WB...
Probably gave him loads of experience for working with Fox News.
HAYYYOOOO!
Anyway, it's time to speak up for two classic children's game shows.
Double Dare and Carmen SanDiego.
I remember when Double Dare was actually syndicated back in the 80's before Nick bought them back up. Hey. Side...
It deserves, at least, a proper widescreen release. The full frame pan and scan is almost as painful as the full frame version of Ghostbusters. I don't think I've said this for a while, but the reason I hate fullframe versions of movies comes from the fact the elevator scene was butchered so...
Anyone a fan of the "Cartoon Network Studios" end logos that always get crushed to the side? Like Grim trying to chop off Billy and Mandy's heads, the Gems tossing around and catching Steven, DeeDee pressing that button and blowing Dexter up, or even the new PPG series which features live...
Thousand Dollar Bee, at the very least, has one thing over Shopper's Casino.
Shopper's Casino is a scaaaaaaaaam. It's a fake show made to sell viewers on a pyramid scheme. Luckily no one really fell for it, but it's terrifying to think that's how bad infomercials get. Sure, it's not quite...
I had a feeling that they'd have a unique spin on that tired old trope...unlike Arthur.
Episodes like this are why Peridot has become my favorite Crystal Gem. She gets hurt easily, but she dives into anger and frustration and stews instead of trying to show her true emotions. Seems like she's...
Like I said in another thread, I can see why Shrek 5 is a thing considering Rise of the Guardians, Peabody and Sherman, and Turbo doing "poorly" (Turbo did well in Asian and Latin American markets, Peabody and Sherman made back its budget and probably grossed the highest of all the jay Ward...
Ahem... Divergent part 3 failed so spectacularly, they'll dump the series on TV
Ahem...
Then again, it worked for the Harry Potter and the Cliche Fan Fic Monsters Mortal Instruments...for some reason...
Danger Mouse and Count Duckula are perfect examples of extremely British cartoon shows. And while I respect the animation was extremely limited in this series due to the fact they had like 5 animators on staff, the fact the shows both relied on verbal humor to make up for the lack of animation...
Naw...it's more like that prank show that Kelso from That 70's Show did, only well over a decade of being culturally irrelevant in between. Every promo I happen to see can be summed up as "guy in creepy costume make person go 'BWAAAAAA!'" It's not even a prank show. It's a jump scare show...
I'd still like to point out that quite a bit of old school fans are baffled an Elmo movie about Elmo had so much Elmo in it.
And ...uh... Does not compute, I guess?
The hiatus was the same hiatus as every show on that night. The problem was they announced the reboot. That was the big "mea culpa" that had the snarkier viewers snarking for the show's downfall because how the heck dare anyone screw with out childhood that we willingly called "gay" when we...
I really felt a little burnt with the last movie being half decent, half garbagy tween drama pandering crap. Though again, only saw it for the pirates and the Simpsons short.
Seriously. The freaking show is almost 30 years old and we've only got one movie and one theatrical short. We should...
If there's something no one's willing to admit, it's the fact that the country itself is so far right, the "socialist" Democrats are essentially where the Republicans were under Nixon. You know, Nixon, the Republican who was the bad one because he probably had thugs break into a hotel to steal...
Nothing has ever made me feel dirty about liking the show.
That is, until that guy used Twilight Sparkle in a pathetic defense of Trumpphy Wife number 3's speech plagiarism. :sympathy:
Powerpuff Girls gets a second season, which is no surprise at all, but I'm really happy to see that another season could very well have the show shape up to be something better than it currently is. Something much stronger. The first season seems to be all about reintroducing the characters...
Ladonna, I'd say is more of the Poochie of the show, considering how she was introduced. I'm glad the writers slowly toned her down and made her more approachable as a character. But the fact she never freaking shut up in her first episode really wasn't the way to go to introduce a character...
Again, not of the target demographic, not really my business to say as an adult. As an avid cartoon watcher who frequents channels designated for kids, I'm very annoyed by Disney metaphorically taking a funnel and plunger and forcefully ramming "Walk the Prank" down the audience's throats...
Only saw Batman Robin , Flash Starfire, and Wonder Woman Raven (who could easily be redecoed/repainted to be Lady Legasus... she has dem legs after all). Dunno about Cyborg and Beast Boy, but the three will be available (as the old toy line disclaimers say) sold separately
