Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
There was a break in the production of Dudley Do-Right episodes. The first half were Bill Conrad, the second half was Frees. Sort of like how Bill Conrad was pegged to be a narrator for Super Chicken, but only did the pilot, and Paul Frees became the narrator of all 3 George cartoons...
I'd be a little more upset if the fact of the matter was they've been phasing out the older humans for the past 5 seasons now. Sure, Luis finally got a major place back in the show when they had the bike shop, only for that to oddly be taken away. Kinda annoying. Other than the fact that...
Slightly more disturbing when you realize that everything that Clarence turned to Belson flat out insults him. Especially when he microwaves the Belson-mallows and Graham Belsons who chide him for forgetting the chocolate.
Those are some very complicated feelings, considering Belson always...
Remember the second to last season of the 80's TMNT cartoon where the turtles inexplicably turned into The Incredible Hulk? Something like that.
And might as well throw this out there:
Agreed with everything but the predictable Extreme Ghostbusters bashing.
When that concept was even rumored, it was already picked apart. And I can see that. It's why Extreme Ghostbusters gets an unreasonable amount of hate. That and the "Extreme" subtitle. The entire show seemed to undo ABC's damage to the original.
But no matter what movie we would have got...
Indeed. The only baring that HBO holds is a 9 month exclusivity deal. And if HBO had any clout on the show, we'd have to wait until season 47 when the HBO produced episodes actually kick in.
If we really want to blame anyone, it's the new CEO of Sesame Workshop. I mean, the guy is ex-HIT...
While I'm glad the show keeps getting renewed, I wish they'd freaking show some already!
Also, why is there such a lack of reruns? Like, they can't spend an hour a day to pay tribute to the show that turned the network around?
Because they can air a full additional commercial by cutting the theme song out.
Personally, I'm a little more annoyed that when the Clarence episode "L'il Buddy" airs in a block, they cut out the cold opening and the theme song, taking the irony of the end of the episode out.
That's a blow. He worked on Mad since the "Tales Calculated" original format.
And, yes...he did some of the earliest Sesame Street artwork, all the while doing the artwork of Sesame Street parodies in Mad.
And of course, he was the artist who gave us the cover for the Weird Al TV compilation...
From what I've heard, it seems they've made the same major mistake the fourth film had. Sounds like there's a fun movie in this somewhere, but also a really terrible, cynically written one. You see, toilet jokes...ehh...I've grown to be past that. They suck unless done well, sure. It's the...
I feel that would have been the result regardless of what Ghostbusters movies they would have made. What should be perfectly clear is that Sony was going to make another movie, and if it wasn't the one we got, it would have been something else the fanbase wouldn't have liked. What I really...
Why do I get the feeling that episode was only made because the budget was running a little over, and they wanted an episode where they only had to pay 2 voice actors? Not that it was a bad episode, mind you. It was cute, just not the best of the townsfolk based episodes. Though I do love the...
Not that there aren't those who have valid complaints about the movie as it is. It was a fine film, nothing great, I can see why certain viewers would dislike it on the grounds of new humor and not liking McCarthy and rather have a different female cast. And the fact the movie was very homage...
I find it hilarious yet annoying that detractors still are whining about this movie like it means something. Love how they call this one the box office bomb when it made back at least or almost half its budget in 2 weeks. Something ID4 2 and Tarzan never did.
A show that wasn't heavily guarded, BTW.
There's something special about the first one. Not so much the fact the story had heart to it and grounded it ever so slightly in a sort of reality. But the fact it was the scrappy little film by a third party studio that was just starting out. Now...
Watching the rebroadcast of last Friday's episode, seems that Ronaldo's girlfriend makes an appearance in the background of the drag race.
I really like the fact that there's someone that Steven actually hates. He doesn't completely hate Lars and somehow sees something special in him. He...
The thing is, some of them are tongue in cheek. Jane Lynch and NPH are both from comedy backgrounds. Selina may have been on a Disney sitcom, but honey, that ain't comedy!
What I hate more are lunkhead commercials. Case in point, the Burger King 2 for $10 Whopper ad...
Uhhhhh...the joke...
I have the strongest feeling that this is mostly due to budget. I still think the big picture isn't so much that the older cast members are being retired because kids would only pay attention to younger cast members, but rather less cast members on the payroll. Mando and Leela's absence is...
