Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
Rio's at least a good looking film, I'll give it that. And I'll throw far more anger at Alpha and Omega at Pixar's Newt not getting made. But overall, ehhh. The villain was alright, I guess. The sequel is supposedly horrid. I'm sure they have a third planned at some point that'll be even...
I find it bizarrely sexual. And if you let your mind wander the wrong way (like I always do), you get a creepy theory about this commercial. Selena Gomez isn't really there, and she's the manifest of some creepy stalker's obsession, and said stalker wants to.....ehhhh....without consent. And...
Disney's really has some chutzpah to think they can release a movie or two a month and have them be successful. Sure, Jungle Book was a shock of a surprise of a hit, but their other major successes this year were no brainers. Marvel, Pixar, their own animation studio. Their flops seem pretty...
Ugh. Had a feeling that was the case. Warcrafted! And of course Blech Sky would milk the franchise harder than come up with something new.
But Hey...as long as it's not another Rio...overrated piece of crap.
Ghostbusters was the movie those kinds of people wanted to flop. Granted, it's...
Blue Sky is a meh studio. Their best film they just did the animation! Peanuts if it wasn't obvious. And again, Robots was a superior film to Ice Age, but because no one saw it, it's almost completely forgotten. Maybe it was released during the period where we were told to hate Robin...
GOL'DURN IT, WARNER BROS!!!!
How many times do I have to tell you not to come up with another movie concept until you finish your last one.
Yep, now Pepe LePew is scheduled for a movie that will never happen!
If you were finally waiting for Ice Age to fail, congratulations. It opened a pathetic fifth this week, while Secret Life of Pets managed to have a strong second place hold in its third. China's probably going to pull a WarCraft and save this film from losing money, but in the meantime, it...
HOLY.....
REALLY?!
Seriously?
FINALLY! Wow. I'm glad Pets managed to overcome a stale franchise like Ice Age. It may not be the strongest animated movie of the year, but I'd say it's a tie with Angry Birds for my number three spot of favorite animated movies of the year.
I hope...
For those who were worrying, looks like Penn's at least getting a second season.
Might be on the basis of the writers closing the series on this season ala Gravity Falls.
I really blame that on the writing. I feel the same about how Abby is used, but that's another rant as she didn't exist then. There are some Muppets who can carry something special by themselves, and there are those who need to work off of others. Elmo's the latter. Elmo works best with Zoe...
Actual trailer with actual scenes.
Interesting choice on Robin. Almost thought they went with the Frank Miller "The Dark Knight" Robin, but forgot they cast Michael Cera in the role, so it couldn't be. They did take some visual cues, though.
Two more special SDCC short cartoons popped up.
This one from Kevin Eastman hisself:
(fun fact. Raph is played by the same VA that played Donatello in the 2K3 series)
Not gonna lie...kinda wish the current show looked like that.
Ihhh... Spoke too soon.
One Million Moms (or about a couple thousand hypocritical Trump supporters) got wise to this and they're pulling their usual schtick.
And again, something I can never complain about again.
Make no mistake. There's unfortunately a reason Kidsbop exists, and that's so conservative mothers in expensive suburbs (usually the kind with the suffix "ington") can have their precious little sheltered woogies listen to the top 40 hits...
Benny Boy from the Oddity Archive has once again dug up some terrible cover albums in his latest video.
Sure, those are what they are, and here's the full version of the horrid cover of "Rock of Ages"
But what really stuck out to me is the Mini-Pops album. I can never ever criticize the...
Obvious bit of observation here.
The girl on the cover of the "Noice" magazine is short and chubby, just like Sadie.
Makes me wonder if the only reason Lars was into Sadie was because of her body, but couldn't stand the emotional connection. Meanwhile, Sadie shares her film interests with...
EIG's saving graces are that we actually get to see Elmo do something and emote. I hate how the character was handled as the audience surrogate for years, and how he just smiles and waves in the Elmo's World segments. This was just when those were starting out, so it's at least great to see...
