Plus, the Count is so much less creepy and scary than he used to be, say back in the 80s. And, you're right Snowthy, vampire cartoons are huge now. The biggest charm of the Count is that is so harmless. He's actually one of the sager/wiser (though slightly crazy) people on The Street. I...
FTB showed more of the grittiness of a real city street. EIG was definitely more cleaned up. Then again, Sesame Street has updated and cleaned/polished up the street set more too as probably a reflection of real NYC neighborhoods updating...the funds are coming in to clean up the streets.
I actually love all of this! It would be just shady enough to work, but not too scary for kids because its Lefty and he's a silly Muppet. I mean, Miss Finch had her creepy moments too.
I am so excited at the idea of a new (theatrical release) feature film. I've been waiting for one for a long time and I think this 50th anniversary is the right time to finally do it. They have a solid Muppeteer team right now and I'm sure Alan, Nina and Chris will be great to involve too...
Those Gund plushes remind me of the Sesame Street beanie babies set that was released a while back. I was lucky to have gotten the whole collection of characters (including both Honkers). Its such a great collection of old and new (at the time) characters.
Bryan: Hey, guys!
Big Bird: Bryan, you're home! Boy, did I miss you.
Bryan: Aww, thanks, Big Bird. I missed you too. (hugging him)
Bert: You're back!
Ernie: How was London?
Bryan: Great! I got some treats for you. Big Bird, here is an antique lamp I found at a street market. I thought...
Yes, exactly. It was a lot of characters to keep track of. It was probably the largest human cast in the shows history at that point too. Ruth Buzzi did stick around a bit longer after that even if they never showed her store. I liked ATC just for the fact there were so many friends to...
I think Twiddlebugs is a great idea as an animated series. Around the Corner would be cute, but they may as well have just kept it with Sesame Street. They got rid of it to downsize and simplify.
Ernie: Oh, yeah...but as long as it won her the game to win more money...
Bert: All letters for the purposes of spelling and education should be free.
Ernie: Bert’s been watching a lot of MSNBC. Khehehe!
Hi, all! I find myself needing to rebuild much of my muppet music collection after my hard drive crashed a few years ago. Looking for some specifics:
Gotta Get Wet—Bob and Herry Monster
Taking a Break—Big Bird and Elmo
Buy an Easter Egg For Christmas
All I Want For Christmas is You—Big...
BRYAN: Guys, I know i’ve been super busy. So as a late birthday celebration, I’m taking everyone out to dinner! Where shall we go?
Ernie: Burgers!
Bert: No, soup!
Big Bird: I hear there’s a new vegan place downtown with birdseed waffles.
Honker popping up from the window: HONK
(Everyone...
