We didn’t get anything like that for the 40th/45th but we got some other stuff like that beautiful book and some dvds and Caroll’s documentary came out soon after too (bonus?). If they’re smart, they’d save it and plan bigger things for the big 5-0. It makes far more sense and it’s a bigger...
Forgive me if this has been discussed already, but can we talk about Baby Bear? Does he still appear pretty regularly on the show? I feel like he doesn’t pop up quite as often anymore. Correct me if I’m wrong. He’s such a great character.
Also, I think they’re becoming more popular as different types of cuisines pop up on a food truck...particularly in big cities like NYC...that’s where they’re most prominent.
I’ve also wondered why I haven’t seen him on Below the Frame with, well, basically every other main performer.
As far as not appearing in the parade, maybe he travels to be with family that day and chooses not to participate.
Oh, I’m sure he can! He’s still a young guy and his voice has a naturally higher pitch, but I can imagine voices like that are tougher when your voice ages. Just in general, of course. I do that type of voice sometimes and it’s exhausting.
I actually think Matt’s Bird voice is fine. It used to bug me when I’d watch Journey to Ernie segments, but it was because he was only doing those with Carroll still doing the other stuff. So 2 different voices threw me. Now I’m used to it and I actually hear Matt’s more often. His voice...
I think it’s great he’s holding on and that SW is holding onto him for as long as they can in any regard. They are going to start shooting season 50 soon. So with just a little stretch more, his wish will be fulfilled.
(Big Bird is walking down the hall dragging a wagon which contains two festively decorated crates each containing wrapped packages) La la la la...
Ernie: Hi, Big Bird! What are you doing?
Big Bird: Hi, Ernie! These are some packages that Bryan wanted me to deliver to Kathy and Ed’s rooms...
BRYAN: When Christmas time is over and presents put away, don't be sad
There'll be so much to treasure about this Christmas day and the fun we've had
BIG BIRD: So may happy feelings to celebrate with you
And, oh, the good times hurry by so fast,
BRYAN: But even when it's over there's...
Bryan: Oh, no!
Ernie: What's wrong?
Bryan: Oh, I forgot to thank Ed and the Boo Crew for the birthday gift. I've been so busy lately but I hate to be that person that doesn't show appreciation.
Ernie: 'Tis the season. We've all got our arms tied around here. Right, Bert?
(Bert is tangled...
Bryan: I almost forgot...I need to drop off that bag of cookies and cupcakes for the Cookie Monster. It's his birthday!
Big Bird: That's right, and I drew the card!
Bryan: Thanks, Big Bird. We can all sign our names to it.
Ernie: And Bert and I will deliver them!
Bryan: Oh, no you're...
Big Bird: (wearing his new mouse costume) Are you sure you don't want to come trick-or-treating with us, Bryan? It's lots of fun.
Bryan: It's okay, Big Bird. You guys go on. Besides, someone has to stay here and hand out the treats.
(Ernie comes out of the other room wearing a fur vest...
Ernie: Hey, look, Bert! Some new girl just moved in.
Bert: Ernie, that's Rowlf in a wig and dress.
Ernie: Oh. Would ya look at that... he's stealin' your thunder, Bert! Keheheheheh!!!
(Bert frowns in disapproval)
I don't believe any sort of descrimination is okay. Someone should be hired or fired based on their ability to do a job based on what the producers are looking for (I'm specifically referring to showbiz right now but it can really be applied to any job. It seems as though when they moved to...
