The movie could have been even better (article)

Right I mean that's the joke in The Muppet Movie, the idea that there could be a "Standard" Rich and Famous Contract. LOL

    Songs You Can't Stand

OK, I love the Beatles but I'll agree, there's not much to this song. It did feel like one of Paul's famous "written in 5 minutes" numbers, hehe. ;)

Scooter Appreciation Thread For The Most Underappraciated, Disrespected Muppet of Ever

I don't get the impression they meant for Scooter to be unlikeable. It's just that he had a personality hang-up the way all the other characters did which served to drive Kermit crazy. Fozzie's insecurity about his jokes, Gonzo being oblivious that his art was bad and Scooter's willingness to...

Scooter Appreciation Thread For The Most Underappraciated, Disrespected Muppet of Ever

Not here, but I've definitely seem some hate on the Web in random places. Scooter gets picked on for being wimpish, etc. It's really annoying.

    Muppet Canon/Chronology/Timeline

Yeah The Muppet Movie was definitely one of those perfect films; they got it right the first time, hehe. Muppets Take Manhattan is so touching and surprisingly grown up and really explored the characters' relationships very well. Great Muppet Caper has some funny moments and all the songs are...

    Songs You Can't Stand

Exactly, case closed, lol. I just heard that for the first time on Pandora the other day. Very cool!

Your Thoughts: "The Muppets" Theatrical Film

True, but then again there are problems with the show sometimes. Scooter is clearly in the show's first episodes but then suddenly is introduced in episode 6 as a new character, lol.

    Muppet Canon/Chronology/Timeline

Gotcha, sorry if I seemed a little forceful, I just hate when people pull the "it's dated" card, lol. ;) It does sound like you were just expecting something different and that's fine. You can check it out again after giving yourself some space and see it from a fresh perspective.

    Muppet Canon/Chronology/Timeline

I wasn't around when it came out either. But it's still the best Muppet movie for me. So I don't think the age of the movie is the problem. ;)

    Muppet Canon/Chronology/Timeline

Well that maybe the problem. You came in with certain expectations. That doesn't mean the movie was at fault. And I want to note that I wasn't around when The Muppet Movie came out, but I still think it's the best. So again, it's not about the film being dated. ;)

    Muppet Canon/Chronology/Timeline

I know that even if I like this new movie, I'm not using it to introduce my kids to the Muppets. If I'm going to do that, Jim's work comes first. And I wasn't even around when The Muppet Movie came out! ;)

    Muppet Canon/Chronology/Timeline

Well here is one thing I always say to people. It may not be your cup of tea. But that doesn't mean it's dated. It just means you personally didn't like it. There's a difference. ;)

Not exactly, in The Muppet Movie they say it's "approximately how it happened."

Try watching again, you might just need to get used to it. I never felt it was slow. Lol, well remember they're like hippies, their song doesn't need to make sense, just be abstract and groovy, lol.

Maybe it would have been better if it hadn't been in Wal-Mart for so long, lol. ;) But seriously, I mean you're entitled to your opinion and all, but what didn't you like about it?

To further clarify, in the 1986 special "The Muppets: A Celebration of 30 Years" Piggy says to Kermit, "And you did it tres well, hubby!" So yeah...I personally think they are married, hehe. ;)
