Pre-Order: "The Muppets" on Blu-ray and DVD coming March 20

It does feel like a form of Planned Obsolescence: "A business strategy in which the obsolescence (the process of becoming obsolete—that is, unfashionable or no longer usable) of a product is planned and built into it from its conception. This is done so that in future the consumer feels a need...

Pre-Order: "The Muppets" on Blu-ray and DVD coming March 20

The problem is the recession. I don't have the money to buy a Blu Ray player right now, even a cheap one. Especially when my DVD player works just fine. Though heck I don't even feel comfortable buying a new DVD right now, lol. I have priorities to think about. Again the country is in the middle...

Your Thoughts: The Muppets Original Soundtrack

Plus I mean I don't mind when people express their dissatisfaction for something. It's a heck of a lot more interesting than an entire board of: "I loved this!" "Yeah me too!" "Me three!" How riveting, lol.

Your Thoughts: The Muppets Original Soundtrack

Well some of them think the deleted scenes they've been hearing about will fix what they think are problems in the film. Plus it is getting ridiculous how the industry is making it impossible to enjoy bonus features without buying a Blu Ray player in the middle of a recession.

Your Thoughts: The Muppets Original Soundtrack

I think some of it was fans' different expectations before the film. I was very skeptical of the movie but then was happily surprised with the final result because my expectations were so low. But I think other fans had much larger expectations for the film so the final result disappointed them...

    Kids' shows nowadays

I never thought the Alice cartoon was all that successful so I thought Adventures in Wonderland finally got it right. The characters, especially Hatter and Hare, had this free spirited sense of insanity, with a sort of logical illogic. But it was still grounded in reality with the way the...

    Kids' shows nowadays

I ADORED Adventures in Wonderland! It was so successful in putting a modern spin on the Wonderland story. Watching it now it's even more funny and clever than I realized. I mean come on The Mad Hatter's catchphrase came from an Al Gore quote! "How true that is..." Lol, brilliant! The performers...

For Crying Out Loud, What is Wrong With You People?

It's a symptom of the economic chaos in our country right now. We're in the middle of a Recession but in a first world country like this, the majority of us can go about our daily lives not being too aware of it. So it's easy to forget that a lot of people simply can't afford to rush out for...

For Crying Out Loud, What is Wrong With You People?

I can kind of understand; I do occasionally feel a sort of arrogant vibe about the Blu Ray (not here particularly just in general). And frankly I don't think that's where the future is headed at all. If anything should take over it's streaming video or an eventual combination of TV and Internet.

When your spouse thinks your crazy...

It's been my experience that shared passions, while important, will not always guarantee a successful relationship. Plus it's certainly fine for a spouse to have zero interest in the other spouse's passions, as long as he/she is respectful and not cruelly dismissive.

    Dealing with depression and anxiety

As bizarre as it sounds, if I have a really great day when I'm really happy, it's almost guaranteed I'll have a nightmare that night. And not just any nightmare but the worst ones my mind can...well dream up! I think it's just my personality, I'm afraid to let my guard down and think things are...

That's actually a very good idea and if they had presented it that way, it would have worked. Too bad they were so busy trying to appeal to the masses that they missed such an opportunity.

I can see that working with other franchises, I just don't see what connection that has to the Muppets.

    The Writing Process

Ugh, I'm trying to write another blog entry and I'm running into my usual writing block problem. I get so nervous and worked up over whether it will be any good, that I just get paralyzed and nothing ends up being written. So frustrating when this happens and I end up questioning myself even more!
