    "The Muppets": Audience Reactions

Yeah kinda reminds me of a friend of mine who dismissed a Fraggle Rock episode as "too morbid," ignoring the happy ending that followed. ;) Well I do slightly agree that the Muppet antics could have been more dominate but I don't think we had to wait to the end to see it. It was more scattered...

    "The Muppets": Audience Reactions

I don't understand, just because they didn't like that particular movie doesn't mean their kids can't experience the Muppets any other way.

When your spouse thinks your crazy...

"Somehow I feel my charisma is slipping away..." :) ;) I think common characteristics vs. similar interests could probably go either way as far as success rate. Very true, I've had similar experiences with people when your goals and priorities just aren't the same. That can do a lot of damage.

    The Weekly Poll #7

Very true, as a child I knew who Jim Henson was the way most kids did, but I also always knew about Frank Oz. When I was watching the documentaries as a kid my Mom pointed out that Frank Oz was Jim's close friend. They were a familiar team in popular culture.

charlietheowl's Random Thoughts: Season 1 of TMS

I think the show's style of humor just evolved. The first season was a lot of the standard one note jokes, sort of traditional Vaudeville/Variety show comedy. As the show moved on the humor came more from the individual characters' personality quirks and a sort of overall gentle, rebellious...

charlietheowl's Random Thoughts: Season 1 of TMS

Though of course Janice's evolution is interesting to watch in Vet's Hospital. Obviously she started out with a standard female voice, sort of reminiscent of a '40s movie star. Then Richard Hunt took over in the 2nd season and you can see how she gradually becomes the surfer girl, it's quite...
