Also grew up with Star Wars of course, the first film is still the best, IMO (and I'm not talking about Episode I, hehe). :)
And even the ones that actually are nominated tend to still be "popular films." You won't see too many decent independent ones, heh. Nor will you see too many working actors receiving awards when you have movie stars to take all the glory. Theses awards shows are just a way to keep the Hollywood...
I don't want the government being Big Brother when it's pretty much the reason these poverty stricken areas are that way in the first place, heh.

You can't always dissect animation too much because sometimes it's just a matter of they didn't draw reactions for them because they were on a budget. ;)
