Was Dave Goelz in these SST sketches?

I've come to believe that Frank was performing Little Jerry in "Mad", although, of course, it was Jerry's voice. It was something about how Frank manipulated in early AM's that was different from Jerry's. I also think that Jerry was manipulating Big Jeffy in that scene. (This can be seen in...

    How many puppeteers are there?

Interesting! Pray tell, where did you get that information? If that's true, I wonder if that's Danny in the Noggin episode where BB is figuring out how to move bags pf birdseed to his nest. Come to think of it, I don't even know what Danny sounds like. I just know he's done full bodied...

    How many puppeteers are there?

Could we add Dave Goelz to the list? True, he wasn't a regular, but he did contribute. Also someone mentioned Jane Henson. Which would make sense, because I remember seeing a photo of Jane performing Ernie's right hand.

    How many puppeteers are there?

Are you counting Muppeteers that came and left over the years, like Brian Muehl?

    Telly and Grungetta

Heh-heh. Sounds like "Plank" in Ed, Edd and Eddie. But I digress. :)

    Telly and Grungetta

What I think is that they probably use another Muppeteer on hand to operate Telly's right arm. That's just my guess, I could be wrong.

Cookie Monster eats Guy Smiley at the Bakery

This might or might not count. In Show #1, when he was an anonymous monster, after eating the lines to Kermit's "W" he tried to eat Kermit himself, almost by his frog's legs. But he was far less developed at the time. He didn't understand that it's not polite to devour your friends yet. :)

    Telly and Grungetta

Both of them were, of course, once played by the same performer, Brian Muehl/Meehl. But then when Brian left, Telly and Grungetta were taken by Marty Robinson and Pam Arciero, respectively. Now for a real answer to your question. Yes, they have appeared together. One time that sticks in my...

Carroll's characters beyond Big Bird and Oscar

I can mention a few more amusing appearances: -Adrian, the orange AM girlfriend of the teenage boy (Jim) who sand "A You're Adorable". -A mother in a family which demonstrates different ways to group themselves. This voice, which is probably in your heads: "Or you could think of us like...

Karen Prell muppet in skit with Cookie Monster

I know what you mean. If I didn't know that Howie was a lop, I would swear that this was one of those talking pink rubber balls. Know what I mean? Two questions remains in my simple mind on this topic: 1. His opening line, "Hi there, it's me, Howie!" makes me wonder whether he was a short...

Anyone remember this Swiss Miss commercial?

I remember it. If I recall correctly, there were clouds hovering about the mountain. They were just stationary. But then the "clouds" turned out to be giant moving eyebrows of this monstrous mountain. I think that's right. I also remember the cloud giving a hiccup. And the Swiss Miss girl...

    Sesame Street Bloopers/Technical Difficulties

I wonder whether he was supposed to have legs that curl behind him, because when the Herry puppet is seen from the back and sides, you see the soles of two sneakers. Maybe he was supposed to be cut off at the knee and have his feet kick back. Whatever it was, it didn't come out that way...

Zebadiah? Or... who is this Muppeteer?

To continue on this thought, another character this Muppeteer played was in a Super Grover sketch. He* played a little girl AM who used SG's box to take her groceries home after the bag tore. Again, the right hand was the only hand moving. (This sketch was described in the Unpaved book.) This...

Was Dave Goelz in these SST sketches?

Upon looking at the statue dancing, I could see that as being Jerry now. It is becoming clearer. It must have been fun for him to play Ernie, or even an emulation of Ernie, even for a little while. I don't know if Jerry reads these posts, but it would be interesting to know how enjoyed...

Can anybody please explain to me about this skit?

I'm pretty sure it's "The Garden". The tune is almost exactly the same as on the Sesame Street 2 album. Judging by the look of Cookie Monster and Grover, I'd say this skit was probably as early as the third season. It very well may have been sung on the street in the 2nd season, hence the song...

    Sesame Street Bloopers/Technical Difficulties

Here's another. In one of my favorite "News Flash" segments, Kermit is interviewing one of the Three Little Pigs, and then the Big Bad Wolf, who blows everything away except the straw house. The three plants are among the first to be blown away, one by one. When they get to the third on the...

    Sesame Street Bloopers/Technical Difficulties

This one I'm not sure about. But I'm going to guess that in Grover Waiter's "Alphabet Soup", Fat Blue (Jerry) fumbled his line but then recovered. He tells Grover that the 'Y' is missing, and Grover plays along. Then he realizes, "No, I'm wrong. I have the 'Y' there.... It's the 'Z'." Grover...

    Bert's Personality Change

I don't know if this is the correct answer to your question. But I remember in an interview ("Henson's Place"), Jim said that in the beginning that Frank Oz didn't like Bert very beginning because he thought he was too dull. But then he found a way to make this dullness into this incredible...

    Sesame Street Season 35!

Oh, I can't resist. :D I tried by throwing my clock out the window. :) :)

Who will be on Sesame Street next season?

I think that ever since Barbara Bush appeared on Sesame Street, it's now customary for the first lady to make at least one appearance on the show.
