Oh, it's definitely still hip to be a square!:super:
I remember that song very well- still lots of fun to watch. And the Huey Lewis and the News song is pretty fun too.
Sesame Street has always been pretty much on the forefront of the current new "hip" thing and putting its own brand on it.:)
And let's not forget the Doozers.:busy: :coy: :hungry:
(Maybe we can get Mokey and Boober someday to round out the Fraggle Five. - And of course, one of the Jim Henson Muppet would be pretty awesome too.)
But don't mean to sound greedy- I LOVE the new smilies! Thanks so much for the great work! I'm gonna have to keep posting new posts on here for no apparent reason and use lots and lots of smilies just to get them all on screen for me to drool over.
:batty: :search: :scary:
Ach! I guess that's what I get for not posting in a while. The smilies section has exploded with new characters! Woo hoo!
Love them all! And I'm SO glad to see Big Bird on here. As iconic as Kermit is for the Muppets in general and obviously necessary to be here- I consider Big Bird to be...
WOW! Cool! Thanks for the new smilies! They're all very awesome!
I had to log in just to post and use the new ones once I saw this thread!:shifty: :hungry: :coy:

There's lots of various characters I'd like to see still making active appearances... here's a few

Shakey Sanchez
Luncheon Counter Monster
Gorgon Heap

Do you need to go potty? Elmo can help you! :-)
Okay, well, I finally had a valid excuse to watch "Elmo's Potty Time":) (nephew in potty-training)
So I have in fact viewed this video and I may try to have more of a full review on here at some point.
This is a 2006 home video release with...
Wow! "Elmo's Christmas Countdown" was pretty fun! I don't think it was quite as great (and I don't anything ever really will be) as "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" or even "A Special Sesame Street Christmas", but it was pretty good. I like "Elmo Saves Christmas" and "A Sesame Street Christmas...
Does anyone happen to know which episode these Telly scenes come from? I'm not positive- but I'm thinking that the tuba scene may actually have been in the episode I'm thinking about.

Well, I still don't see what the problem is in stating exactly what my religious beliefs are because I think everyone should be able to rationally and calmly talk about such things and able to state and defend their own positions. What I'm saying is- dissenting points of view should be able to...
While I agree with being civil and loving, I don't see what the problem is with stating the reason for why I don't approve of this upcoming show. I'm sorry if telling people that The Bible says homosexuality is a sin makes people who practice that upset. But that is why I don't care for this...
Thanks for the info, sesameguy. That is interesting to know- but I specifically recall that this monster was stealing more random things than just cookies- like Telly's orange, for example. And yeah, it does seem that there are certain themes that Sesame Street seems to tackle a lot (including...
I don't know that I have been asking over and over again. Besides, asking questions is the best way to find out something! (I learned that on Sesame Street!;) ) And if I did ask it earlier, someone may not have ever seen that thread and they may see this one and they may be someone who...
A literal magic carpet ride is always the connection I make with it. And yeah, it makes sense since "Open Sesame" is a line from "Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves" in Scherezade's 1000 Tales.
Can't say I'm excited about this one. I'd rather not see Henson puppets doing any adult themes whatsoever. (Yes, I know Jim Henson did stuff for adults- like the Land of Gorch skits on Saturday Night Live. I don't care for those either.) And yeah, there's adult moments here and there on The...
