Actually, I'm going to say I agree with this. Peanuts always tried to be forward thinking. Peppermint Patty being a tom boy, wearing shorts and sandals, and being the child of a single father, all were pretty unusual at the time.

Yeah that kind of thing works better in reverse, like in "Hey Cinderella!" where the straight man son is the human and the comedic father is the Muppet.

Agreed. It's the same sickness that infected otherwise entertaining shows like Family Guy and Fairly Odd Parents (just off the top of my head). Characters being constantly ****** on without any let up or hope of redemption. It mocks you for ever caring about characters in the first place. We...
Ah yes, the politicians who send them to war in the first place, and the celebrities who would call them baby killers again in a second if they didn't think it would ruin their chances of getting on the cover of People.
Well, speaking for the "proto-Muppets" for a sec, to this day my Dad fondly recalls the La Choy Dragon, lol.
But for my generation, probably this Muppets Babies tie in with McDonald's. This instantly brings back all the Happy Meal excitement, lol.

Yeah that was my first thought too. It's still X-Mass colors. Unmistakable.
Well anyway, I always preferred Dunkin Donuts, both for drinks and breakfast food. And incidentally, their cups have a wreath that says "Joy" in the middle, hehe.
It's one of those things where if you never mention it, no one else will think of it either. But if you do mention it, people will say, "Oh yeah, I could see that."
Absolutely! Just not sure how well this show understands them to begin with, which makes further exploration difficult. ;)
Thing is, characters aren't like real people. They have parameters. Go outside those parameters and they become unrecognizable. And deceptively simple characters like Zoot...
Oh, there was a lot more to them than that. The joke with the band was that they spent more time worrying about their hip image than their music. ("Things are rully gonna break as soon as we get our new glossies!" :flirt:)
