Agreed, I think the writers don't seem to understand the power of simplicity. This is really all anyone needs to say. Very, very true. I imagine it must be hard to sit back and watch that happen.

There are times when mainstream fans can be amusing that way, lol. But on the other hand, they do have a way of keeping the most iconic images alive (two guys in the balcony being a good example). And the Muppets were mainstream in the 70s and 80s, they weren't just some small niche genre thing...
