    So . . . A New Mario Movie?

According to rumors, the movie could see a release in 2020, around the time Tokyo hosts the Summer Olympics. And Nintendo will be closely involved in the production, which could mean heavily scrutinizing the script. If Charles Schulz's sons can do so for The Peanuts Movie, they should be able...

    R.I.P. Jerry Van Dyke

He was just on the last week's episode of The Middle where he played Mike Heck's father Big Mike, and a subplot involved him wanting to die next to a tree where he and his wife first shared a kiss. Very eerie. And please, for the love of God, stay alive, Dick! Don't pull a Debbie Reynolds on us! :(

New Visual of the Disney Junior Muppet Babies series

I think she was re-designed from Bobbi. A bit disappointing seeing as how I was getting attached to her, but that's what happens when you follow a project from the beginning and they change things along the way during development.

    Animaniacs reboot in the works

I never said it was going to be like that. I would trust the writers to not go Ren & Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon on us.

    Animaniacs reboot in the works

Totally called it! :) Like I said before, they most likely went with Hulu because there is no S&P department standing in the way, like Netflix. It's up to the producers to police their content.

New Visual of the Disney Junior Muppet Babies series

Guess they changed her to a penguin because there's another lamb character in Doc MacStuffins and thought kids would get confused, or maybe they just wanted an actual bird in there for the sake of diversity. Still doesn't seem like Rowlf and Scooter (and to a lesser extent Skeeter) will be in...

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

Hopefully there are enough families who would rather save themselves the torture and see Aardman's Early Man the following week instead.

The Peter Rabbit monstrosity is coming out on the same weekend (Feb. 9) as the third Fifty Shades movie. Who to root for?

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Over the four-day Christmas weekend, Star Wars stayed on top, but in 2nd we have newcomer Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, a standalone sequel to the '90s film about the titular board game now adapted into a video game. That's been getting some decent reviews lately, interestingly enough. Pitch...

The Saddest thing that reminds you that you're old...

With Selectavision, you're talking about CEDs, right? They were essentially records in plastic cases you inserted right into the player, and read by a stylus. They were even less reliable than the competition, and after only a few hundred plays the discs became completely unwatchable. The only...

    When you need to rant...

Also, I'm sure even the TTG writers are feeling burned out from creating so many episodes, if the 200th Episode Spectacular is anything to go by (which is really the 201st once you count the re-dubbed ep. of the original cartoon they did).

    When you need to rant...

No show, no matter how popular, should be aired so many times on a network that it prevents anything else from getting a chance. Even if Steven Universe got the same treatment as TTG, I'd get sick of it, too. But if there's one thing everyone agrees on, it's whenever CN shows a live-action...

    20th Century FOX?

Plus, I doubt we'd see FG get distributed as a Disney Television Animation production in the future, as 20th Century Fox will still exist after the merger.

    20th Century FOX?

They own Touchstone Pictures which produced stuff like The Waterboy and Con Air, and that hasn't hurt their reputation one bit.

The Nostalgia Critic Thread Lives Again!

And now here's Home Alone 2. As much as I like this movie, I admit that it's a blatant retread on a bigger budget, but it's one of those retreads that kinda owes up to it. A lot like The Hangover 2 in a way. And as for Kevin calling the Pigeon Lady "sick"? Well, pigeons are rats with wings...

    The "You know what?" thread

Though I remember one episode where the residents seemed to imply that the Street had a movie theater with a powerful A/C, and it ended up getting way too cold for them at the end that they needed Baby Bear's porridge (which they rejected beforehand) to warm up.

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

As expected, The Last Jedi did huge last weekend at $220 million, above Rogue One but not as high as The Force Awakens. Meanwhile, Ferdinand pulled in about $13 mil., a little below the fourth Chipmunks movie and the lowest-grossing Blue Sky movie so far. And Coco still clung to 3rd place at $10...
