The New What Made You Frown Today Thread

Unless he repeatedly puts his foot in his mouth, we should forgive Lasseter. And like I said before, he's at least remorseful and taking responsibility for his actions.

Behold... the New Teen Titans Cartoon...

On the plus side, there was the Halloween episode where the Titans try to win a costume contest against the Hive Five by dressing up as them, and all five members spoke once again. There's also the "Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star" and "Demon Prom" which continue to focus on Raven's...

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

It's unfortunate to hear this once again, but like Chris Savino Lasseter at least feels genuinely remorseful about all this. He's obviously going the Kevin Clash route by resigning to avoid embarrassing himself and further damage his career.

    Favorite Non-Henson TV Shows

What really gets my goat is with Adult Swim's and their inconsistent bleeping of the S-word, among other swears. Make up your mind, S&P!

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Justice League had the lowest domestic opening of the DC Extended Universe films, barely cracking the $100 million mark. However, the international take is much better, though still not as high as previous films. http://www.boxofficemojo.com/weekend/chart/?yr=2017&wknd=46&p=.htm Pretty...

    The Oh-So-Permanent Thanksgiving Thread

This year we just got some turkey breast meat instead of a whole turkey, since we mostly end up eating that anyway.

    Uhhhh... WHAT???

If Shrek made it to Broadway, I don't see how this is any less ridiculous.

    So . . . A New Mario Movie?

He was easily the best cast of all of them. John Leguizamo, on the other hand, was too young, buff, and Latino for Luigi.

    When you need to rant...

There's also a lack of stronger support for mental health treatments.

    So . . . A New Mario Movie?

Guess they changed their mind. Either way, it's nice to see that Nintendo is being less stubborn about licensing out their properties.

    We Bare Bears

I'd really like to see an episode that focuses more on Baby Grizz. Or better yet, one which shows us their birth parents.

Let's all be thankful this was never made

While the live-action film has been canned, a Netflix series is going to be coming out in less than a week called Stretch Armstrong and the Flex Fighters. One of the creators behind the criminally short-lived Spectacular Spider-Man is behind it, so going with Netflix seems like the right...

    Questions about anything

Considering that Meta Knight is also a round blob with beady eyes, maybe he is a species.

    The Steven Universe thread

It also rewards those who have watched the show from the beginning (or for a long time) whenever they reference events and jokes from past episodes, or foreshadow stuff in future episodes. :)

Christmas: Are they shoving it down our throats too early?

Over here, they didn't start on the Christmas stuff until November hit. So at least in some places they're reeling it in.

    The Wander over Yonder Thread

As long as tweencoms aren't being shoved down our throats instead, I'm cool with that. Or Pickle & Peanut.

    20th Century FOX?

I'd rather they not be allowed to buy them, even if it also means a better chance of releasing a proper restoration of the non-special editions of the Star Wars trilogy. Shouldn't there be some antitrust laws stopping them somehow?

    The Duck Dodgers thread

It essentially did everything right that the later Loonatics did oh so wrong: an action-comedy with Looney Tunes characters that feels natural, rather than generic. Two of my favorite episodes have to be the crossover with The Green Lantern and the parody of Samurai Jack.

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

Drtooth mentioned a couple of times that John Lasseter tried his best to pull the plug on it, and Disney released under Touchstone as a contractual obligation.

The Worst CGI Kid Films In Recent Memory

Like The Nut Job, G&J was enough of a lucky hit for Touchstone to make a sequel. Hopefully like The Nut Job 2, Sherlock Gnomes will be a flop.
