I don't believe any rod removal was done on these shows. There's some times where the rod doesn't appear to be visible during Kermit's intros, but that appears on older versions as well; I think it's a side affect of the chroma keying whatever the curtains open up on.
That remains to be seen. I'm assuming there's at least one more; Suki Lopez didn't come in because of the pandemic, but the people playing her family are credited, so my wager is they'll do a video chat episode with them.
I thought it was going to be a TV show, which explained the crappy animation. But I can't believe they're actually putting that out and calling it a "movie."
I'm pretty sure Frank is the lead, Jim, Richard, and Jerry are his pals, and Jim's the officer. Frank looks like he's doing both the greaser and his gal at the end.
I assumed they cut down on episodes because they had to make all those EW segments, not because they couldn't fall back on repeating old street scenes.
I think the set kinda doesn't work that well because there's less human presence; everything is built to their scale, not the Muppets. I guarantee that if the show were being created today, they'd have a smaller, Muppet-scaled set.
It's also hard to compare the realism of the set to an actual...
