Yeah, something smells funny there, lol!
Yeah. A lot of big time companies do research. It may not be in the correct way or in the right frame of direction or mind, but it research, nonetheless.

Same here. It is a conundrum: How can one protect the copyrighted rights of the creators and yet, still create a way for the public to view what in the company vaults that seemingly may not see the light of day?
Simple. Studio heads to get their heads out of their butts and make their own digital libraries on the internet.

Unfortunately due to all the cross copyright problems, it's not gonna happen. Same cross copyrights keep things off DVD.

And ironically, Europe is able to avoid the copyright issue entirely, because of their different systems of government.

As Charlie Brown & company say, "AUGH!" Must we have a sequel to a remake/relaunch so soon?

Considering it was a surprise monster hit, there's no doubt. There was buzz about a sequal about a month after the film premired.

As long as we have some better concepts, it could be a good film. Not a great one. But something nice to blow a rainy day at the movies.

And better a sequal a year or two down the line than 10 years later.

But why a sequel to a remake?
We ALWAYS get sequals to remakes.

Technically this wasn't so much a remake as a relaunch... or basically cashing off of nostalgia. But pages and pages in this thread backward, there was loose talk about sequals and Chipettes. We just seemed to get confirmation of what was floating around anyway.

But...so soon after the first one, especially since it would be a problem figuring out how to make The Chipettes appear without calling out for the PC police?

Or at least make sited that don't work slow and clunky like Hulu or something like that. But they better get with digital or miss out. Of course they never do until the 11th hour.
