Kim: *sitting at the desk, staring off into space and tapping a pencil*
Tosh: Uh, Kim? Everything okay?
Kim: Huh? Oh, yeah Tosh. My birthday is tomorrow, and for the first time in twenty-six years I'm not excited about it. I have to work at the library, and the morning that I thought I'd have to myself to veg I'm now going to be spending looking after my four year-old cousin before I have to go into work. So yeah, Tosh, everything's just peachy.
Gillis: A little heavy on the sarcasm there, don't you think?
Kim: Shyeah, whatever.
Betty Lou: *coming in with Boober* Man, the whole dorm sure is buzzing about those elections. Do you know who you're voting for yet, Kim?
Kim: I'm abstaining. I don't care for the mudslinging that's going between a couple of the parties (who shall remain nameless but probably know who they are anyway).
Boober: Mudslinging? Everyone looked pretty clean to me.
Kim: It doesn't mean real mud, Boober. 'Mudslinging' means that the candidates are doing everything they can to make themselves look good by making their opponents look bad. That, and I'm not fond of all the pressure that's being put on people to vote for one person over another. Friends are turning against friends...it's getting ugly. So, I'm not voting.
Tosh: Well, if you're not voting Kim...then neither am I!
Gillis: And neither am I!
Boober: I won't vote, either!
Betty Lou: Same here.
