Hey, the thread has reached its 100th post (well, 101th, if you count the very first post that started it).

Anyways....

Some of you may take this as good news or bad news, but I've decided to shorten down Mickey Mouse's appearance in the upcoming third Spidey/Muppets story to only a few special scenes that'll be included near the end of the story. What purpose these scenes will have to the tale? I cannot say just yet. But I can say that they will serve a great purpose for the entire "MARVELOUS Muppets" series. In fact, you could say that my take on whatever ending the movie will have might change the "MM" universe itself.

But on a side note, we're only a couple of weeks away 'til Ghost Rider comes out in theaters, and possibly a couple of more 'til my "MARVELOUS Storyteller" version comes to MC.:excited:

101st actually. And now this makes the 102nd post!

Been seeing the commercials for Ghost Rider... And there's this one quote that makes me laugh, though it sounds somewhat cool at the same time: "You OK? Yeah, i'm fine. My skull's on fire, but I'm fine."
In case you're interested MW... Got a fanfic of my own scheduled for unveiling in a couple of weeks, in celebration of this month's main holiday featuring our favorite Muppet Theater trick-or-treater. And I might be feeling he UG's even more, planning to go to an Air Supply concert being held here in PR.
Also... Dark days are ahead and I'm loving it all as my champion of darkness dominates the in-ring landscape till making it fifteen straight Tombstones in the graveyard. Counting creatures will all take their place, showing off their haunting talents or making their eerie presences known. Good times are ahead for us, jut hope it can get started and keep chugging along this time..

Take care buddy.

Here's another bit of news that can be either sad or happy, depending on how the way you look at it.

Though it's probably too soon to tell, it seems like the last "MARVELOUS Muppets" story for the year (the Daredevil/Punisher/Electric Mayhem/Dog City crossover) will be the last story to include any characters from secondary franchises. That includes characters from Jake Long and Juniper Lee that I was originally going to have in the Blade/Labyrinth/Storyteller trilogy.

There are several reasons behind this decision of mine. One of the main reasons is that I feel like these characters from franchises outside Marvel Comics and the Jim Henson Company are drawing attention away from characters of those two that are the primary focus of the series. At first, it seemed like a cool thing to experiment on, but I think it'll be time to go back to basics soon and just have the Muppets, other Henson-related projects, and Marvel superheroes be in future stories.

Another reason are the two fanfic series that I'll be working on sometime later, one that will be set apart from the events in "MM" (yet related to them in some way). That one series is the Disney-based series, The Legends of the Sorcerer's Apprentice, which will focus on Mickey Mouse's famous Fantasia role and how he'll use the sorcerer abilities to his benefit as a superhero. I plan on having the series be somewhat of a prequel to "The MARVELOUS Muppets", even going as far as to have some Muppet characters star in it (including characters from Bear in the Big Blue House and Dinosaurs).

The other fanfic series will be something that I'll keep secret on, just until I finish that one "Sesame, DC" story that I'll get back to hopefully soon.

More to come later.

Okay. I decided to compromise with myself on the matter that I addressed in the previous post.

Perhaps the secondary franchise thing could stick, but only if I shorten down the number of them that I include into the series. Take the upcoming Spidey/Muppets 3 story for example. That story contains a large number of other franchises that will coexist with that of Marvel and the Muppets. And though it will be the greatest story I'll write this year, the involvement of the outside franchises may steer attention away from the two main ones.

So, here's what I'll do. After the Daredevil/Punisher/Dog City/Electric Mayhem crossover tale, I'll start including franchises that are only within the range of programs aired on Cartoon Network and/or Nickelodeon. This could mean that characters from Juniper Lee will still be involved in the Blade/Labyrinth/Storyteller trilogy, but ones from Jake Long will not.

This should be a good deal, considering the fact that I'm writing that Disney-based series, The Legends of the Sorcerer's Apprentice, which will have most of the characters from the Disney franchises (some of them introduced into the series already) teaming up with the Muppets for stories solely related to Disney.

Personally, I love the idea of adding more franchises into the fray, because most of these shows we're all big fans of and seeing them with the Muppets and these Marvel superheroes makes an interesting read. But I also want to still make this series enjoyable to all of my fellow Muppet fans who are reading for the Muppet part of it all and not overload everyone with all of these franchises. That's why I'm going to take good care of these next few stories, making them more Muppet-centered than anything else, because afterwards it will all be a different story in general. And when I say different, I mean possible appearances by April O'Neil from TMNT and another "spin-off" series that some TMNT fans will enjoy.

And speaking of spin-offs, I'll soon have some more news on one that I'll be working on for "Sesame, DC".

Don't want to scare anyone by revealing this bit of news I have, but I did start this thread to alert everyone of anything that just happened to popped into my mind.

So...brace yourself, because this might be some shocking news, concerning the upcoming third Spidey/Muppets story.

The series will have its very first "original death." And when I say "original," I mean that this won't be based on any events from a movie or comic. It will be a death that I thought up personally for four particular characters, one of which will really shake up the events to come after the tale.

However, there is a lighter side to this news. With this death comes a birth. But not the type of birth that involves babies, diapers, and spanking (OK. Too much information). It'll be the type of birth that explains the reason behind all that has happened in the past two years for "The MARVELOUS Muppets". The reason that half of the Muppets (from Gonzo to the Fraggles and from the Fraggles to Bunsen and Beaker and from Bunsen and Beaker to the soon-to-be-MARVELOUS Muppet that'll be introduce in Spidey/Muppets 3 for the first time) are so MARVELOUS.

This all might sound confusing now, but I promise things will be clearer in the next few months.

Well, tomorrow's the day when The Rider comes to the big screen, and I'm really excited about writing that first "MARVELOUS Storyteller" crossover, too.

And like I had pointed out before, the tale might not come immediately after I see the film tomorrow. I might just wait a couple of weekends 'til I do. But I would recommend everyone seeing the actual film until then.

Also....

I have a major announcement coming in March on the same weekend that I start my "Spider-Man and His MARVELOUS Muppet Friends Appreciation Days" celebration. It doesn't have to do with Spider-Man or the Muppets, but it does lie somewhere in between.

But I can give you one hint by revealing one particular name: April O'Neil.

Well...I saw Ghost Rider yesterday in theaters, and though the film had some great special effects, I feel like it could've done a lot better in the story department. And I was actually hoping that the film's marvelous storyline would help me carry out my version of it for "The MARVELOUS Storyteller".

So, as much as it disappoints me to admit this, I might have to postpone the crossover until sometime later in the year, when I can think up a more MARVELOUS version to post here on MC.

But, until then, I'm going to try and get back to my Batman Begins/Sesame Street crossover, which I have been putting off for too long.

Despite however Ghost Rider does this weekend in the box office, it's still an enjoyable film to see, and I would recommend seeing it whether you're a fan of the comics or not.

Thanks for the update MW. Maybe there's enough between the base storyline of the movie, and the additional franchises inserted into the hero/villain alliances that you can embellish somewhat? Dunno, haven't seen the movie... But maybe something about Blackheart doling out a portion of his promised kingdom to the Dark Dragon, and then Jareth using his crystal balls to trap Sarah in an illusory realm of his own creation while Juniper Lee's fighting against the assorted goblins before she realizes she's trapped in the same illusory world? Then Uncle Deadly and Danny Phantom bust through riding shotgun on the Ghost Rider's chopper as they confront Blackheart himself? Just a few ideas of how the aditional franchises' insertion could help flesh out the story, sticking more or less to the movie's storyline but with some added touches of what you yourself know about the comic's storyline.

Hope this helps... And maybe we can help each other out from time to time. Take care buddy.

That idea sounds a lot more MARVELOUS than what I had seen in theaters this past Friday. I'll pay all of that in mind when I start writing the story. Thanks, Count.
