Thanks, Count. Though I really believe I've been getting these characters down, which brings me to my next update.

Lately, I've been carefully studying much of the Muppet television programs, movies, and specials to make sure that the Muppet characters in the third Spidey/Muppets story, the second Fantastic Four/Muppets tale, and the Daredevil/Punisher/Electric Mayhem/Dog City crossover are exactly like the real thing. I want to make sure that these upcoming stories will be a million times better than the ones you all read last year and the year before that.

For instance, I've watched The Great Muppet Caper over the weekend and have been watching Muppets Take Manhattan this week to analyze characters like Nicky Holiday, his henchwomen (Marla, Darla, and Carla), Lady Holiday (who will be featured in the third story), Jenny, Pete, Ronnie Crawford, and even some the cameos in these films. I've even decided to take the time to view excerpts from The Muppet Show and Muppets Tonight on YouTube.

Even for the approaching Ghost Rider story have I watched Labyrinth and episodes of The Storyteller again and again. And for the second F4/Muppets tale, I've been collecting episodes of Farscape (even viewing some on YouTube) and watching The Dark Crystal for a few times.

There's a point in this series when I should start taking my work seriously, and that time is now. So, as a writer and a devoted Muppet fan, I feel it is my job to carefully analyze every bit of Muppet and Henson-related material to make the Muppets even more MARVELOUS than they've been over the years.:smile:

More updates to come later.

No worries then. If you need material, contact Justin Faulknor or Boober_Gorg or KermiClown. Haven't dealt with KC yet but I probably will in the future. Just LMK if you need help with Muppets or additional franchises.

Speaking of which... Could you help with describing what/how the Jersey Devil looked like in the American Dragon ep. where they went on a camping dad-son bonding trip?
Thanks.

That's another great episode of the show, mostly because of the storyline that involved Jake's mom and Hayley in that boot camp and Trixie's first experience in the wilderness.:big_grin:

The Jersey Devil appears to look like a moose with small, oddly shaped horns, eagle wings, and a lion-like tail. Not exactly Mr. Centerfold.:smile:

Another update for the upcoming Spidey/Muppets 3 story....

Starting in March, I'll be throwing what I'd like to call the "Spider-Man and His MARVELOUS Muppet Friends Appreciation Days" to celebrate the release of the third movie, as well as the third Spidey/Muppets crossover tale, from March 23rd to May 4th (the day SM3 gets released).

How I'll go about handling this celebration is that I'll be going back to the very first Spidey/Muppets story ("The Amazing!") and including some more material, such as deleted parts of the story, my own personal "journal" that describes how the story came to be, and bloopers (if you want to call them that).

After this, then I'll go back to the second Spidey/Muppets story ("The Amazing....Sequel!") and bring in the same materials (including commentary by Kermit, Fozzie, Piggy, Mickey Mouse, Kim Possible, and yours truly). But that's not all I do for the story.....

Before I include the materials, I will introduce you all to an extended version of the story, featuring more scenes and more story that will include a hidden villain that was never mentioned in the tale and meant to fleshen out the events to come in the third crossover.

What I'll also be doing for the celebration is writing some interesting MARVELOUS Mini's stories that will take us all back through the years before the events in "The Amazing!", from the college days of the Muppets and the Thomas siblings to the moment where they crossed the line with Flint "The Sandman" Marko (the latter is one story that I think everyone, especially those who are fans of The Great Muppet Caper, should read before checking out my version of Spider-Man 3).

In additional, there'll be more of my MARVELOUS posters, some "interviews" with the characters in the next story, and possibly some other great stuff to celebrate what promises to be one MARVELOUS month for Spidey and Muppet fans alike.:smile:

There'll be more updates soon.

It seems like there's a lot of irony surrounding two particular stories that I'm expected to write this year: the "Ghost Rider/Storyteller/Labyrinth" crossover and the third Spidey/Muppets story.

The GR/Storyteller/Labyrinth tale seems to have been branded as the "dead end story", because two franchises that will be in it will be ending their series run very soon. The two franchises that I speak of is American Dragon: Jake Long, which is expected to end on its 52nd episode this year, and of course Danny Phantom, which will end four days before the release of Ghost Rider.

So that story will be a real send-off for those franchises. But as far as the third Spidey/Muppets story goes....

Take a look at this wallpaper that I found from the updated Spider-Man 3 site: http://spiderman3.sonypictures.com/site/content/downloads/wallpaper/?id=mj2_800

According to that wallpaper, Mary Jane's going to be performing in a show named "Manhattan Memories" in the film. But, in my version of the movie, she's going to be performing in the sequel to "Manhattan Melodies".

Just to let everyone know, I just found out about this last night. This was not (and I repeat, NOT) planned. It just comes to show how MARVELOUS my stories are turning out.:smile:

Hey, everyone.:smile:

With the 20th anniversary of The Storyteller and the release of Ghost Rider both coming up very soon, it's about time I got my tail in gear and get some stories out. I've got two planned for this Wednesday, when the Storyteller anniversary is, and after that, it's time for our heroes to ride.

Mark Steven Johnson (the director of GR) says that the movie is finished, and he's really excited about all of us seeing it. So let's try to do him a favor and help him get his money's worth (as well as ours).:wink:

Also, I've got some updates, as well as big news concerning one of our MARVELOUS heroes.

The first is that Max Goof (Goofy's son) will be joining the Daily Bugle staff, helping out his old man and Donald Duck in collecting some great stories (most particularly Spider-Man's new black suit). He'll add to the competition that staff members from Eddie Brock, Jr. to the Woodland Valley critters will be facing in the story.

The second and last bit of news that I have is that Mickey "The Sorcerer" Mouse will be having his own fanfic series that'll function as another spin-off to "The MARVELOUS Muppets", which I'll be writing soon, and it will feature Muppet characters, especially ones that we've been focusing on the most for this series.

Hang tight, there'll be more to come soon.:smile:

Eh... Kinda prefer Max as the valet for the House of Mouse. Dunno, maybe you could spin it so House of Mouse is parallel to MT, which was sort of something that struck me after watching both shows.

Also, on the news front... Just saw the commercials for Cinderella 3: A Twist in Time, where Lady Tremaine (Stepmther) is brought back. Shame rully, their animation department is still stuck in the suckquell mode. Also, I hoid that the relationship between Ben Grim aka The Thing and Alicia Masters will become much more central to the story of the third FF movie, should the planning go forward.

Maybe I'll write a "MARVELOUS Mini's" tale that explains how Max went from being a typical valet to a reporter for the Daily Bugle. To be honest, I'm used to Max as he was in Goof Troop, A Goofy Movie, An Extremely Goofy Movie, and the Mickey's Christmas movies than he was in HoM.

I think you mean the second FF movie, Count. Actually, you're sort of right, considering that this is the third one that's made (first was the Corman version, then the first one by Tim Story, and its sequel). They did say the relationship will become more central, especially with the Silver Surfer involved.

I really think the Cinderella sequel will do really well. Much better than the second one they made. I also think the animation's much more of an improvement, especially on her stepmother (who looks a lot more menacing than she did in the first movie). I also saw that commercial, and I'm glad they brought back Jennifer Hale for the voice of the Disney Princess herself. She's a wonderful voice actress.

~~~~~~~~~
That reminds me. I meant to bring up this update a while back, concerning the Punisher/Daredevil/Dog City/Electric Mayhem story. Since the story's going to be a cross between a crime story and a musical, I thought about including another one of my current favorite Cartoon Network shows, Class of 3000 (which Jennifer Hale portrays the voice of Madison Spaghettini Papadopoulos in), into the storyline. I plan on having Sunny Bridges be a good friend of The Electric Mayhem and get the help of his Little Five Points students to clear their name.
For those who aren't familiar with Class of 3000, it's a show produced by Andre Benjamin (a.k.a. Andre 3000) of the music group, OutKast, where he plays the voice of a superstar-turned-music-professor at a school for performing arts in Atlanta, Georgia. There's a good number of voice actors involved in it, from Spongebob's Tom Kenny to Phil LaMarr (who voices Wilt in Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends). The title is often mistaken for being the class's graduating year, but it's just a nod to Andre 3000 himself.
I also plan on having Clifford and Pepe in this story as well to add to their appearance in the second F4/Muppets crossover.:smile:
Class of 3000? Another good addition to the mix, so to say.
The second Cinderella movie, I honestly don't know what they were thinking when they made that one after seeing it on Toon Disney's Big Movie Show a while back.
As for Fantastic Four, no, I mean the third one under Tim Story. See, you get the info at superherohype.com, whereas I go to filmforce.com (might have to check that, since it's acting a bit funny after downloading Jaws 7.10.5 to get IE7 working smoother).
At the article posted on filmforce, where they interviewed Chiclis (SP)? the actor said that his romantic relationship between Ben and Alicia would be highlighted in the second upcoming movie, though only just a little more than the first, and then he said that it would really come to the forefront in the third movie if what Tim Story was telling him panned out, and that he couldn't tell the IGN guys what was being planned.
Hope this helps somewhat.
Well, two MARVELOUS things have happened to me on this weekend:
1) I've finally received the Marvel Comics adaptation to The Muppets Take Manhattan today through the mail. Someone on eBay had auctioned it for a mere $3.58 (I think that was the price) and it finally came today.:smile: I'll try to see if I can get some pics up from the comic and turn them into avatars for the Spidey/Muppets celebration this March to May.
and...
2) I got the chance to watch The Invincible Iron Man on DVD today, and it is really awesome. Love the way they introduce The Mandarin into the film as well. Not going to spoil it for anyone who plans on getting the DVD itself, but it's really cool.
Speaking of Iron Man, I know it'll be another year until I start writing "MM" tales based on the iron-clad superhero and his connections to Scooter, but I just thought I'd share with everyone that next year won't only deal with the history and truth behind Tony Stark's involvement with Scooter's family. It will also deal with the formation of the "Muppet Avengers". We're all familiar with the Avengers team, but we're not too familiar with this other version of them.
I've personally handpicked a small number of Muppet chapters to be assembled (no pun intended) for one of many stories that will deal with their team, the "ultimate" team, and the Stark/Scooter connection. Next year will definitely prove to be an invincible one for "The MARVELOUS Muppets."
Here are two Muppets that I've chosen to be "Muppet Avengers":
:wink: :attitude:
Another update for Spidey/Muppets 3....
I've decided to take out one of the classic Spidey villains that I'll be including into the story and replace him with another. The replaced villain is Man-Wolf, and the substitute villain will be The Scorpion. I still won't reveal the character who will become this villain, but I can say that it is someone all of us Muppet fans are familiar with, and he'll be featured as this villain halfway into the story. This leaves only Venom and The Lizard as the "special guest" villains near the end of the tale.
More to come later.:smile:
