True, I just see many articles saying it’s more common. But by no means is any marriage perfect. Heck you could even run into a toxic one that just deteriorates your health completely (look at Curly Howard for instance). That’s one big fear I kind of have with marriage.
But then again, his brother Moe was happily married for 50 years.

I was just thinking of how nice it would be if I could spend my Christmas and New Years with company besides myself.

But hey, you know, here we are now still since staying safe is apparently political. 🤷🏿‍♂️ Don’t mind me as my liberal self watches Christmas movies by myself on the 25th and gets completely trashed by myself on New Year’s Eve.

Well, it will be a first to see Times Square empty. I hope they still drop the ball.

Just like Thanksgiving, I’m making a big spread and having four people over. I wish I could borrow Mr. Spock’s transport beam and beam you over here. As crowded as my little house will be, I got room for one more.

I’d be very grateful to join you.

Of course I’ll make the best of it because I try my best to keep things positive during these times, but it doesn’t already help when you have seasonal depression.

New Year’s Eve in Times Square is overrated. I’ve never been there ion New Year’s Eve, but I have been at the spot where the ball drops. The intersection of Broadway and 7th Avenue.
To get the best spot, people arrive a day or so early and claim their patch of ground.
Once you’re there, you stay there. Once more people arrive, you’re stuck in your spot. Good luck trying to leave to get to a bathroom.

Only the people close to the ball have a good view. The further away you are, the less you can see. And a million people crammed into an area of five blocks, you better not be claustrophobic.
Then you’re at the mercy of the weather. Usually it’s freezing. And with all the tall buildings in New York, the wind can be brutal.
Then five minutes after midnight, there’s a big stampede of a million people leaving, to get to the trains or buses. If you’re lucky enough to find a hotel room in Manhattan, get ready to pay through the nose.
You’re much better off watching at home on tv.

I’d never participate in them anyway. I can’t stand dealing with large crowds for too too long.

I’ve never even (Hey, a palindrome!) been to New York, nor seen the Ball Drop on TV.
