What made you think today?

I was thinking about the Sesame Street Baker films. They were a constant staple growing up. In the first season, you might see them two or three times an episode.
When I was little, I knew of the Muppets, but very little about Jim Henson. It wasn’t until much later I found out these were his babies.

Rowlf and a few monsters showed up, and his kids got into the act.
Although many thought it was funny, the baker falling down the stairs was painful to me(probably because as a kid I fell down the stairs a lot. Once I almost busted my head open).
But even though the baker survived the falls, I felt bad for all the dead cakes and pies.

Only once in my life, late 70s, did they ever show #1. That beautiful wedding cake was a goner.

When I saw that sketch on sesamestreet.org for the first time, I remember feeling so bad for whatever couple he was delivering that to.

I always liked in #8 the way the baker says, "Eight . . . raspberry pudding . . . desserts. . . ." in such a way that honestly sounds like he's thinking, "Look, I've already taken seven falls, I've had it!"

I think my favorite is the one with the root beer floats..... how it just completely drenches him.

I also felt bad for whoever had to clean up.
#4 and #8 were especially messy.

I was just thinking how this year really took a big toll on my mental health. Like Jesus Christ the minute this virus goes away, I’ll be taking complete advantage of doing fun stuff to heal my mind (going to the library, movies, mall, etc).

That’s not necessarily true.
1) Someone can still come along and become your salty mate for life.
2) I didn’t get married until I was 32, so you still have a 4year window.
3) Even if you never get married, you still might beat the odds and live to be 100, like a Tibetan monk.
I wouldn’t write yourself off too soon.

True, I just see many articles saying it’s more common. But by no means is any marriage perfect. Heck you could even run into a toxic one that just deteriorates your health completely (look at Curly Howard for instance). That’s one big fear I kind of have with marriage.
