☝ Episode 0295 features one of Grover's earliest jobs, a bit where Molly almost spanks a kid on camera, Frank Oz playing Kermit, three previously lost Dot Bridge segments (8, 9, & 10), and a previously undiscovered cartoon narrated by Casey Kasem.

Kermit is conspicuously silent throughout the bit (credited to Frank) until the end when the script calls for pre-recorded audio.

Any truth to this? I read it on reddit yesterday:

There are some legendary moments from the early CTW era that were pulled for one reason or another:

-- Margaret Hamilton in the 70s (scared the kids)

-- Snuffy's Parents Getting A Divorce (also scared the kids)

-- Telly's goldfish dies. While tame in retrospect, this 1988 episode was pulled for a shot of the fish being flushed down a toilet. Very risque for the time.

-- Almost ten years later in 1997, Bob finds a lump while he's in the shower. At the end it turns out it was a gumdrop and not a tumor. This confused lots of children, especially those whose parents had cancer. It hasn't aired since.
We obviously know the first two as true, but the last two sound like unintentionally hilarious takes on serious subjects.

The Telly one might be getting confused for an Elmo episode, Where Elmo’s goldfish, Bubbles dies and he is really heartbroken about it. And there was no toilet flushing.

The Bob one sounds totally fictitious

People probably think I'm stupid for posting that, but in the context of the thread it sounded totally serious.

Here's a super weird one for ya':

omg, this witch looks exactly like the one from Peppermint Park.

The script calls for Frank to perform Kermit (to Jim's vocal track), but from the video, it seems like it's Jim doing voice and puppetry.
Ah, that’s too bad. Would have been funny hearing Frank try to do Kermit’s voice.

Hopefully that thing about needing a research reason to view the shows was a misunderstanding. Would “helping Muppet Wiki” be a good enough “research reason”? Would it be wrong to make up reasons to want to do research to watch episodes?
