Code Geass. Have you ever noticed how Japanese creators loved to annoy as with ambiguous cliffhangers that may never be resolved?
It's not so much that they love to do that. It's more like there aren't enough people watching anime in Japan that aren't kids to keep those shows going. It's now common practice for mini shows of 12 episodes. Only thing that's constantly in production is Shonen Jump long runners or something toy based. Even long runners never get to finish their run. Dragon Ball Kai is going to finally get the Majin Buu arc. But it's made for every single country in the world but Japan. And that's not even new. It took them almost 20 years to resolve Saint Seyia.

I'm REALLY ticked off how Nickelodeon tossed Monsters Vs. Aliens off the schedual as fast as possible, especially leaving on a crappy "The Adventure Continues" finale. They set the show up for this potential big showdown with Coverton, and the best they could do was just turn him into Dick Dastardly through the actual series. No big reveal that he was a villain, no curb stomp battle. Just "Dan Schneider didn't poop this series out, so it's GONE!"

Nickelodeon has really gone down hill since the 90s ended. It was awesome when I was growing up but once 2000 hit, it all went to pot.

The only thing that is the problem are those horrible live action series. They really think they're still competing with 2005 Disney Channel. TMNT is epic. Sanjay and Craig is a good cartoon, if they give it a chance (at least it's getting a second season)... but they basically hate the heck out of any cartoon series now.

Then again, 90's Nick was all about shoving Rugrats in your face 24/7 until the novelty of the show wore off and it turned into a lukewarm Muppet Babies wannabe (thanks for nothing, Klasky) so the only real improvement over new Nick is that they at least gave some of their cartoons a chance.

Nick was really good in the 80s. You might be able to find some of the old cartoons and shows they used to play. I grew up watching You Can't Do That On Television, Salute your shorts, Out Of Control, Pinwheel, Double Dare andFamily Double Dare, Maya the Bee, David the Gnome and many other great shows. These were way before Rugrats were even thought of. You can find some episodes of You Can't Do That on Television on youtube.

Even Bill Cosby used to be on Nick. He did Picture Page for preschoolers as there were lots of shows back then in the mornings for the little kids who weren't in school yet.

80's Nick is overrated. Sure, it had some nice live action shows and those 2 great British Cartoons... but those anime. UGH! We're only starting to get Doraemon now supposedly. Instead we got a show about elves redubbed to be a crappy Smurf clone, that dumb thing about Koalas (because they actually just got koalas at some zoo in Japan, and they made 2 or 3 series). There was some real good anime coming out of Japan in the late 70's, early 80's. Too bad we didn't get any of it on Nick. And all preschool stuff? Really?! I'm sure they'd have to ruin the heck out of them in editing... but wouldn't Nick have been so much cooler with Time Bokan, Dr. Slump, Doraemon and great classics like that instead of filler programming consisting of Japanese flops?

To me, Nick didn't become Nick until balding kids daydreamed, chihuahuas slapped around cats that were masochistic and dumb enough to like it, and babies misunderstood what adults were saying.
