Well, being a High School student in todays world of pop-culture, I am constantly looking over my shoulder. Why you ask? To see if people can hear the Music from my headphones. I really only like a few modern songs, and the rest is really abstract stuff I would be laughed out of class for listening to. So, here is my collection I like to call "Turn Down Your Headphones:

Al Hirt - Java (Lord, do I love that song)
Beatles - I Am the Walrus (Koo Koo Kachu!)
Beatles - Octopus's Garden
Billy Joel - We Didn't Start the Fire
Michael Jackson (as Captain EO) - Another Part of Me
Celtic Bagpipes - Greensleeves
Cowboy Bebop - The Real Folk Blues (One of the few Japanese rock songs that actually rocks)
David Bowie - Underground
David Bowie - Fame
Davey Jones - Any Old Iron (for the song, not the singer!!!)
Elton John - Don't Go Breaking My Heart
All 115 Fraggle Rock Songs I have
Harry Champion - Any Old Iron
Louis Prima & Keeley Smith - Old Black Magic
MST3K - TUSK!!
My 100 Misc. Muppet Songs and Bits
Peggy Lee - Fever
Pentangle - Let No Man Steal Your Thyme
Petter Sellers - Any Old Iron
Ranma 1/2 - Don't Make Me Wild Like You (Yes..JapPop...I'm So Ashamed)
Sesame Street - Rubber Ducky
5 Star Wars BreakBeats Remixes
140 Cartoon Themes
Wall of Voodoo - Mexican Radio
War - Why Can't We Be Friends

There are a few hundred others, but they're more mainstream by todays standards. Also, this shows how much my musical tastes were influenced by the Muppets (Java, Any Old Iron, etc.) So now I invite you all, share with the forum those songs that you love, but turn the volume down all the same.

I know what you mean, Matt!

I really listen to everything except hip-hop, so I know what it's like to "look over my shoulder" when listening to Muppets.

When I first saw this thread, I thought to myself, "Turn Your Headphones Down!", like "The Sekret Sosiety of Poobahs":

"Turn your buttons down!"

Man, you've got everything! I want the Sex & Violence episode, too. Wasn't it you that said you had it?

-Chris

P.S.- Is Captain Eo in widescreen?

Hehe, yeah I'm a big collector. Yes I also have the Sex and Violence. The Captain EO is supposedly in Widescreen, but since I don't have a wide screen TV I don't know. There are 2 versions on the tape, and then a Behind-the -Scenes special also  Email me at:

themantischild@aol.com

and we can get a deal together

I know the feeling Matt. When I was in high school I did not listen to the songs that were "hot" (and even though it was 2 years ago, can anyone remember these songs?).

However, now I'm in college, and there are so many people I actually find people who have the same taste in music...

College rocks...
